All the songs where they threw in hip-hop samples in them are pretty funny (and awesome). Except "Overgoat", where the guy had no idea how to do it at all. Oh, and the song Yamatsuka Eye is pretty awesome. Everything else... what the fuck. It all sounds like shit I edited in Gold Wave when I was sixteen. Jesus, this is really bad.

Also, what's up with all the Big Business/Melvins hate?

I still feel sorry for Kevin.  Even if he drank too much or took whatever drugs he was supposed to have taken he was still a professional.  It's ok to have junkies in bands as long as they get the job done.

I think the problem was that he was no longer being professional. He would be too messed up to do shows and what not. If I remember correctly.

I Know Who Killed Me - striper scene

Just look at the above picture and listen to a History of Bad Men from (A)SA and save your self some time.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

It's pretty easy to. That movie was god awful, and seeing Lindz strip to a Melvins song is just weird.

the Morbid Florist CD is actually pretty legit sounding. Look for it.

That's the only major release of theirs I don't have. They're Earache stuff is pretty musical (as musical as Anal Cunt can get). too.

Are they still going or have they finally given up?

Just saw them live a couple of years ago. Seth Putnam came out too drunk to stand, and played for about twenty minutes. It was awesome. After about ten songs in, they were done with their setlist, and we're going to leave. But everytime someone requested a song, Seth would make the band play it (even if they didn't know how, which made me realize Anal Cunt actually has to practice what they do).

The rock band forums are funny.  I do my damndest not to hijack other threads asking for more Paramore or Linkin Park.
Instead I just focus on trying to bump the underrated or lesser known bands.

And you are right Rock band is a really fun family game which can get lots of folks (and kids)  interested in music they never would have heard before.  Plus as silly as it sounds it does teach you a lot about rhythm and timing (you should have seen me try to play drums for the first time).

Nothing beats hearing your 50 year old Mom try and sing DevilDriver's Clouds Over California.

I wonder if Grohl gives two shits about the Melvins these days.

I guess the amount of shits he gives about the Melvins these days is very close to zero.. He has more important things to do now.

A couple of years ago (I'd say 2005), I was reading some stupid magazine, and they had an interview with him where they had him pick his top favourite songs. One of them was Hog Leg, and he rambled on about how much he loves the Melvins.

On a related note..  I just remembered that Guitar Hero already featured a pretty great slow 'n' heavy song:

Megasus - Red Lottery

That's an awesome song, but playing it in Guitar Hero was boring as hell. Damn, I'm a nerd.

Brian gibson, bassist for Lightning bolt, drums for them. I think its one of my most anticipated releases.

He wasn't in the band when they recorded Red Lottery. But he plays on the new song that's in Rock Band, and he tears that shit up.

yeah? scan it and post it, armo! we need this! I wish I could afford Paiste cymbals.

My friend maxed out his credit card just to buy the 2002 (or whatever) Paiste ride. I'll be damned though if that isn't the greatest ride ever.

i must be retarded.
its certainly not syncing up all the way through....I dont see how someone cant find any parts that are synced up.

The scenes change in time with the music (hell, even during the first course, the imagery in the video gets a little more intense). It's mostly small shit, likes someone previously said, due to the fact the songs both have the same BPM. So it's nothing like Dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz, but it's pretty funny.

Hell, she even starts singing again with him most of the time (okay, one part, when the bridge starts it's vocals, but whatev's.)

Glad I got to hear Honeybucket, I would be pissed if they replaced it with Revolve. Honestly, they've been playing that song every tour since 1983.

So... I got a second copy of "The End" lying around, so I'm willing to trade it for some Melvins shwag. If you want to trade a shirt, I'm XL if that helps. I'm sort of looking for whatever (except bootlegs).

Just PM me if you're interested.

devil shirt

XL

I need one....

c'mon!

If you have any other XL Melvins shirts you're willing to trade, I might consider it. I've only worn mine, about three times.

Just bought the pink skull Big Business shirt and the Torch Meanderthal shirt. They are amazing.

What's with all the lusting after the devil shirt?  To each their own, but I saw it at the show and passed.  Actually, this is the first time in years that I haven't bought a shirt at a Melvins show.

I know I've said this before, but I don't remember where... but I like the bassist shirt more than the devil shirt. It looks cooler.
