Great, now you scared me off from going there.

Lunica is a she(my girlfriend)
she hasnt taken her medication today.... :P
I'll be going to that.
MAKE SURE that you are there for support band Part Chimp. I can't stress this enough. They make Katrina and Rita look like a breeze...
I am going, myself and two male friends will be sleeping in my corsa so follow us and you can all rape and steal from us after the gig. Also are part chimp really that ace? whatta they sound like? Deerhoof. No thats Ace.
the last melvins warm up bands i saw were... unicorn or something. and some other band where the singer was wearing a diaper, so i
I shall be in attendance. If anyone from here's organising a meet-up then let me know, as it'd be weird to talk to you face to face. Should be good. T-minus 1 week and counting...
i don't think i'll be going after all - no money for train and nowhere to stay...
oh well, houdini aint exactly my favourite album of all time. anybody want to buy a ticket?

How about http://www.couchsurfing.com/? Someone mentioned it earlier here.
The problem for me is that the plane ticket alone will cost me 100 euro at least.

yeh i was considering that but i really have no money to get there and besides the prospect of
travelling o london from manchester by myself again doesn't really thrill me.
BE SURE TO TAKE PICTURES MY LOVELIES!!

Absolute ditto to all of that. If only I wasn't so skint. Instead i'm going to Deerhoof in Leeds for about 8 quid the week after instead.
Like you said, Houdini ain't the best either. If it had been Lysol and Eggnog I would probably have moved mountains to make it possible.
Good karma to all those who take nice pictures. The guy in the record shop said he was going but he didn't even know Kevin was out :( I hate to be the bringer of bad news.
i'll bring my camera and get some video clips :P i can only film like 30 minutes or something though.. first 30 or last 30?

I think the melvins will make this night special.

First 30, definitely! The first half of Houdini is miles better
I'de love to go butt with the gig being in London and all, it might be a little hard. Goddammit, I want them to come to Adelaide again.

Word on the street is, they are going to play other songs aswell after Houdini.
I'm going too by the way.
well, the words on the street are the truth - they will play additional songs after Houdini.
mudhoney played extra songs after bigmuff and so did dino jr.
i'll pee myself if they play anything new.
I'm going - with my dad!! He's too damn cool.
that's interesting - especially as it is a MELVINS gig.
are you going with your Dad because you are too young to go by yourself or because you are old enough but your Dad's been a fan back in the heyday and all grown up but keen to go?
i can't imagine what my Dad will do or think at the sight of a band like the Melvins. He's way conservative and thought that head banging was literally banging your heag against a wall when he first heard about it...

My dad probably wouldn't go to see the Melvins but I've seen Shane MacGowan and The Pretty Things with him. And The Stones. He also just listened Meat Puppets II along with me and noticed What To Do is a Stones cover, I didn't know the original but I could see Jagger singing it, hehe.

Many thanks, Vinney. Wel, if there's a suitably historic Melvins show, or I fancy a short holiday I'll take you up on that...
as you should, rev.
i made my parents promise that they would go to see the melvins next time they go through new york (october). i'm in vermont so i am forced to see them in massachusetts(LAME), but they said they'd go anyway.
i feel like they should experience that live show so they know what i'm obsessing over.
they'll probably understand it less after going/be afraid of me.
i'll just do some random clips, and shit all over them afterwards. that'll be nice :) so has anyone got their tickets yet?
Yeah I got my tickets through, got mine from Stargreen box office.

Actually, I'm taking my Dad this time, bought him his ticket and everything. He's in to all kinds of music, seen Lightning Bolt, Boredoms (three times!) and other stuff like Van Morrison. He's always taken me to see concerts, we went to see John Zorn doing 'The Gift' with Marc Ribot and Trevor Dunn,

I got my tickets ages ago, like a month before reading festival. Aren't you cutting this a bit fine if you havent got yours by now?
I think he means have they arrived at your house, some people were experiencing difficulties in actually getting hold of their tickets.
my roommate will be there and i hate him for that.
Our tickets will have to be picked up at the venue, thanks to your wonderful postal service
Maybe Newman (see avatar) would have solved the problem?
i shall be there
and ive heard good things about part chimp mark the guy im going with says there brilliant and i trust his musical sense so be sure not to miss them.
and i still have a spare ticket anyone?
This is my first melvins gig and frankly i don't really know what to expect (apart from the obvious joke that is the houdini album) I mean that ive been to shit loads of punk gigs - dwarves, rancid etc... and more grunge / rock stuff like mark lanegan band. however this could very well be something all together different i had a dream about it the other night, thats how excited i am (which is frankly weird) all that happened was the band kept trying to play mombius hibachi but the guitar was fucking up, so buzzo sed fuck it lets play let it all be. although the stage resembled the shed at my girlfriends house. eurgh i think too much.
yeah, seetickets wont ship outside the uk, how gay is that?!
