i play(ed) in 2 bands that have done a melvins cover.

first one is a band i'm currently in which i sing and play bass in called SHEVIL (stolen from the Melvins of course).  we consist of 3 bassists, and a drummer and are from Moncton, NB, Canada.

secondly - last year i played bass/sang in a MELVINS tribute band.. unfortunately only one song got taped... 3/4 members of this tribute band play in Shevil.. though we were called STONER WITCH.  played only the one show on the New Years Eve to a jam packed room of 300+ in Moncton, NB.   here is a youtube vid of us performing A HISTORY OF DRUNKS -

*Edit* I thought this was a troll thread for a second since everyone has only one post.  Then I read the Melvins facebook...nevermind...carry on.

Somehow my Butthole Surfers-esque band ended up opening up for some emo kids a few years ago.  We decided to do a GG Allin tribute (sort of) and basically just fuck with people the whole time.  We covered "A History of Bad Men" and "The Bit" while our singer purposely screamed like GG Allin.  Not particularly well practiced or anything but it was a lot of fun and emo kids had to listen to The Melvins!

Drums + 6 string Guitar 

A friend and I played 5 or 6 shows in 2005/2006, billing ourselves as The Frontbutts, and playing nothing but MELVINS.  A great, fun time. 

2 of those shows were recorded by a friend with a video camera. 

These are the only 3 songs I have audio for, at the moment. 


Thanks to Dale, Buzz, and all the other melvins for being the Greatest Band on Earth.  Ya'll have made a huge impact on my life.
