When they were in San Francisco, Joe interviewed them for his fanzine Matt Lukin's Legs.
This was in the late 1980's. Preston was a huge Melvins fan, and stayed in close contact with
them, hung out at their rehearsal space, and finally was asked to  join the band in the early 90's
when they asked him if he'd leave Earth to play bass for them.
