By now you are in full swing and in MELVINS heaven. Can't wait to hear all about the show and what the guys had to say about the SNIVLEM shirts! I know you'll make 'yer own show post, but had to post this anyway in the show forum. Damn I'm jealous that you are there. GO MELVINS!! :x
................. who?????? wha???????? computer piracy allows this post.
show just got over. oh, heavens. heavens. the drums. are you sure you can handle the drums?
first impressions: porn was beautiful.
ghostigital = hell.
melvins highlights: oven, let it all be (I was wrong), history of bad men
shirts are delivered. I got a bad feeling those blue ones are taking a BEATING in melvins camp right now. moss liked the shirts but wasn't digging the blue and pink. more later.
one down, one to go. see y'all sunday.
armof. dude. you left me hanging. HANGING. you gots to match.
PS: see this show twice if you can. gotta go.
Got it, concider the Reaper councelled.

What happened? You met two girls and Arm of an Infant didn't take one off your hands?
long story.
piracy at work once again.
All right Glen! Nice work with the shirts. Can't wait to hear what they said about them.
glen, was that you that grabbed my shoulder after the show?????
i was wasted and delirious at that point i didnt realize what was going on....i was wearing my dwarves 'teach your children to worship satan' shirt and you were like the third person to yell something about the dwarves to me....it wasn't until i got halfway down the stairs that i was like 'that guy just said blag jesus himself, not just blag jesus, he must have been from the board'. anyways, don't think i'm an asshole is what i'm sayin
i got right up front, as always.....i never understood people who go to shows and sit down at tables....
anyways, the show was pretty good.....porn were average i suppose....seemed like they tok 30 seconds from a kyuss song and repeated it for 8 minutes for each song, so it was entertaining, but not great. dale was in his elvis getup.....looked like late period, fried banana sandwich elvis, with his gut sticking out.
ghostigital was really good, i asked the singer where bjork was at (he was in the sugarcubes with her) and he must have thought i was heckling him cuz he looked pissed, paused for a few seconds, shook his head and then started the set. i shook his hand afterwards and told him they were great ,cuz they were getting about 90% boos. he told everyone to buy their cd, and i said i already have it (i do) and he was like 'well buy it for her', pointing to my girlfriend...(i didn't).
big business was good, especially on the songs i recognized. when they came out, buzz jr kind of mimed some generic pre-show stage banter like 'are you ready to partyyyyy', stuff like that, then the began the slow evolution into the melvins, with them palying a few songs and then dale coming out and eventually buzz.
the melvins were great, played the exact same set that's been posted here, except for the mechanical bride. buzz dropped his pick at one point and some kid up front tried to give it back to him but he already got a new one, so the douchebag just throws it on the ground....luckily my girlfriend saw this and grabbed the pick for me, as i had no idea what was going on
the new songs were definitely the highlight, as i had seen most of the other songs before, though everything sounded better with the double drums, especially the bit and lovely butterflies. i bought a poster and left.
nice review. how is that ghostdigital disc?
Like Kevin's wife. Oooo, too soon?

You drink a lot of lead paint, yes?
ok i went to the detroit show and it blew my mind. i met Glen which was cool. we went out to my car and did heroin. hell of a first impression.
the drumming on this tour is just fucking amazing. Jared 's bass work in Big Biz is impressive.
i was blown away. the band Digital Ghost was so good i had to force myself to leave the room and go downstairs and watch the tigers for the first time this season, fuck em. fuck both the tigers and ghosty dig.
i learned tha tglen had fucked Kevins wife. thats crazy.
dan
okay then,
righteous
okay, now grand rapids - saturday night.
Excellent reviews Glen.
Wow, what an awesome response to the shirts.
Fucking great review, I'm really, really happy for you, Glen. Both thumbs up!
"the sweat dripped off his fro and rained down on me like a heavenily dew."
hahahahaha
awesome review, man
I also want to add this:
it seemed like jared was almost more the front man than buzz was. buzz kinda laid back and jared headed up the stage. jared sang all of oven and all of history of bad men. buzz never spoke and kept himself to the rear of the stage except to come up to his microphone. I felt like buzz and dale tried to showcase coady and jared. anyone else who saw this tour get that feeling?

glen, was that you that grabbed my shoulder after the show?????
it twas. I saw you up front for the set. the tip-off was the large red bearded fella and your girlfriend. just as you said. on the way out I glanced and saw you. I could tell you were in no shape to start conversing.
yeah it did seem like buzz was kinda hangin back a little bit. and i was a little disappointed that he didn't sing at all on oven, but jared is the only person i'd want to sing in his place. and yeah glenn, at that point in the show the combination of vodka, pbr and the free corona some guy gave me (not sure why?) plus the mental exhaustion made me a little out of it. i'll trade you buzz's pick for dales sticks?? fair trade i say......

Great that the Melvins liked the shirts
Lunica and I will now walk around with enormous heads.
what fucking shirts?
i sqaw black jesus too. i was behind him back a bit. the pit was between us and his teach kids to worship satan shirt.
yes thats right there was a pit. and boy was it an anoyign one. Jared said at one point "the bums can go outside"
anyone ever hear the yo yo a go go comp live track form Karp Bacon INdustry? "put your shirts on!!!"
that was great.
good reviews glen-er.
"you bunch of cock rockers"
glen!
thanks, that was great.
i can't believe they liked them and the roadies were wearing them....great that they'd wear them just so you could see em. good ol melvins + moss. i hope they wear them for the whole tour. i'll wear mine to the show and maybe i'll be able to carry an amp or two around
you should have clung to the bottom of the bus like you promised! you had the opportunity....
Wow, Glenn! You are INDEED a Legend Now!
Cheers on the great review!

yeah, glen IS a legend! if they keep wearing them, it would be great if someone could take a picture! that way my portfolio would be pretty funny lookin'. i bet they'll be all worn down and sweaty by the time they arrive in england, but i'll make sure to take lots of pictures of the shows we're going to :D
great review, glen! can't wait to see them.
the whole damn thing is still sinking in. a surreal moment, no doubt.
by the way... further developments have led me to believe I was wrong, it was not their tour bus. but they were at my hotel and it was the only bus/van/whatever in the parking lot. I think I was mistaken though.
hey armof, I gave the shirts away before I appraoched you and they were wearing them in grand rapids. the one roadie dude (englishman) told me he would continue to wear it every night but he would have to wash it at some point because it would get "a bit smelly" after awhile. hopefully some of you get to see them up there though, its a pretty damn cool site.
now i want to go see them again. "hoooooney!! can I fly to florida and stay at my friend Hank Hill's house to see the melvins again?" asking that question might be like playing russian roulette.

what color blue? like royal or baby?
dan
baby blue and pink (it was done as a joke though, not because we wanted a "cute" shirt) :)
the image on the shirt is a specimen the old sailors referred to as the "fleazy rider".

ON fire? he IS fire! the man is relentless. I'm starting to think he might get vin to post the interview just to put the damn fire out!
at this point it shows no signs of weakening.
Well ok.
Farty you are fire.
but not fired!
were you being serious, Vin, or were you joking?
the interview will be around sometime before it's anniversary.
i said this already, and you all know i am a man of my word.
