Made the long haul from Toronto (toledo/buffalo here we come!) & of course was more than worth it!! Hell the boarder gaurds didn't even grill me 'bout lawn mowers this time (long story). Porn was alright; I like Moss's leads & Dale pulled a great fat Elvis. Ghost Digital defined the word Suck! Said somethin' bout playin' there w/ Wolf Eyes in the past . . . shoulda got Wolf Eyes instead. Besides sucking, they just didn't fit the bill (Wolf Eyes wouda fit alot better) . . . a kink in the nights continuity. Dude outside rappin' for change was so much better hence our exit to the street below for pizza & cornerside rap. BB was pretty decent, perfer them live to the records . . . & The Melvins? C'mon its the Melvins! It was completely fucked! The double drums are big bouncy tits indeed & it was great just to watch the interaction between Dale & Cody . . . lots of nice drum intros/outros not to mention the meat of the songs. After having seen 'em over the yrs. w/ virtually every bassist short of Lukin I'd have to say Kev is still my fave . . . his seasick slippery snake lines just completed the headfuck that is Melvins, bringing that more surreal aspect right to the fore . . . where it should be. But their constant bass shuffle does nothing if keep 'em fresh & Jared definately kicked the shit. Love the advent of the harmonies and traded off vocals . . . & his more standard approach (along w/ gang vocals) gave them a more rocking in your face quality. Shoulda just bashed it out w/ nothin but full on white house lights . . . that would been the cherry! Set was the same as previous shows . . . highlights: You've Never Been Right, Oven, Ratfaced, The Hawk, History of Bad Men, Lovely Butterflies, The Bit . . . This line up would kill you w/ Manky, or the 1st part of Skin Horse they should really add 'em to the set. Merch as Glenn said was pretty weak (forgot Glenn was in Detroit . . . coulda had a beer or heroin by the sounds of it) Lots of good old 7" at ebay prices though, everything from Melvana to Pigskin (picked up the Pigskin set). The BB shirt is fucking dynamite though . . . I'll have to grab one . . . here are the only 2 pix I shot . . . cameras at shows are such a pain . . . mabey more to come from Toledo or Buffalo . . .






It was pretty funny that alota the Melvins rodies et al sported rainbow afro wigs . . . an inside joke on the proliferation of Afros on stage? Thats what I gathered and thats pretty funny.

Yeah me & a friend or 2 driving to each show . . . drive was 3hrs . . . tonights drive bout 4-5hrs. Too bad we had to come home inbtw each . . . but work ya know . . . gotta have money to do the shit . . . Toledo here we come . . .
