"Stay out of the stage, assholes!"
That should be written in every Parisian venue. Dumb crowd.

i think that happens everywhere, not only in Paris. i personally hate that attitude and hate moshpit. when i see a show i'm totally concentrated on what i see. even when i was in my 20's i never cared about moshpit,i'm a lazy guy

Same for me (and I'm still in my 20's). But amongst all the venues I've been to in my short life (France & Europe), Paris is the worst city to go when you don't like pits - and I lived there for almost my whole life (I moved last year). As an example, I can clearly remember a Vaselines' gig two years ago with crowdsurfing and moshpit... I don't get that.

and last year at Glaz'Art, it was even worst

was that the show with bodyguards on stage? so annoying

Yeah the Melvins Security Big Band  !

That's the word. One of the worst shows I've ever seen (crowd & security speaking, the Melvins were totally great). Add to that no air-conditioning...

Recommended listening: Melvins/Plainfield split - "Cowboy" 7" (Melvins side)

Didn't know that one, thank you for the discovery! "This is getting ridiculous, I can't stand it" Well, everything has been said.

I had to watch that part a few times, but it looks like Dale screwed up.  They go back and forth with one drummer playing the beat and the other drummer kinda soloing over it, and it was Dale's turn to play the beat, but he thought it was Coady's turn.

Early version of It Tastes Better Than The Truth?

Yep!  I remember being happy that they put that jam on the album.  It sounded awesome live.

It seems like a lot of material that they play live that hasn't been recorded often foreshadows future releases.

(((O)))

Melvins "Zodiac"

Check what Buzz is singing at 2:59 - 3:01 and again at 3:44 - 3:47 ... Fuck why do Melvins have to be so PC all the time! Sheeesh!

The Melvins 6/4/2000, St. Louis 1st set (Lepers TV)

The Melvins, St. Louis 6/4/00 2nd set (Lepers TV)

I just watched these two videos. What a pleasure to watch-lots of gems in these two videos. Buzz is hilarious in the beginning of the first set.  It was great how they closed the first set by bringing some nervous girl on stage to sing Smells Like Teen Spirit.  Performances of Lone Rose Holding Now, Blockbuster, Leeech etc-really cool. That performance  of Shevil is amazing-so slow and beautiful
