Are the Melvins the second most influential band to heavy metal besides Sabbath?

He's a great guy, but he went overboard on the poor girl.

Nah, I don't know. I don't think he went overboard at all. He was trying to help her and even offered to fix it with discount! He was just being honest and pointing out what even I found to be rookie mistakes. She never even responded back to him and if it's because she's butt hurt about realizing she should've shopped around first then that's on her. I mean he offered to fix it for cheap! It's not that often you get an amazing artist offering close to free work.
Alright I feel better now. I've always had a lot of respect for zumi and none has been lost.
With all that said, I personally have a soft spot for shitty tattoos and I would've not really cared, although i would've tookin' him up on his offer fo sho!

Never been happier to be ink free!  :D

Anyone else see all the hubbub about Sabotage turning 40 last week?
Total bullshit! All the great civilizations of South America and Central America were extinct by the 70s and they were obviously the creators of that album!  :toke:

I would say out of their entire catalog, Gluey, Ozma and Lysol are the most influential albums. Although I haven't heard anything like GPT or Ozma from any other band...I think those albums were ahead of their time.

I know this is an old thread, but you are completely missing out on Link Wray, the guitarist who "invented" the power chord and laid the foundation for both punk and metal. He influenced Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, Iggy Pop and many others and should be credited to have been one of the most influential artists on modern rock music. Clearly his most famous song, written in 1958:
