Yeah, but 300 complete songs???
I believe it.  At the rate they put stuff out, I totally believe it.  Some of it might need some fiddling and reworking, but for the amount of bands/projects Buzz is involved in, he has to have a massive catalog of stuff that hasn't seen the light of day.

Mad Arab

I'm ready for a Sgt Pepper Melvins album. Massive studio experimentation with this line-up. But I trust Buzz and the rest to offer something spectacular.

Yeah, but 300 complete songs???

That sounds like something more of what WEEN would say than the MELVINS.

Imagine if these two bands put out box sets of all the unreleased shit with live shows. It'd put the fucking Merzbox to shame!

Didn't Buzz used to carry his guitar around everywhere?  I think 300 songs is more than possible.

I'm hoping for something heavy, possibly noisy, and new from the melvins.

Either way a new album should be good.

And hearing about the "Old Song From the 90s thing" warmed me up a bit. Kinda like how Ween had been playing Buckingham Green since 1991 but didn't actually put it on any record til' the Mollusk (Though there IS a Chocolate & Cheese outtake of it that's real long and noisy.)

could someone be kind enough to post the interview?

I still believe it will be different.

after NWB buzz said the next album would go in a different direction.

I think he meant it.

I expect something slightly more experimental.  maybe incorporating the drums on a different plane than just your standard belting out of beats.

okay, so i'm trying to figure out what this might be like. They seem to have covered so many styles; what have they not really done that would make this a new direction?

Melvins folk song album?

Melvins dippity dubbity reggae  dancehall album?

Grateful Dead song cover album?
