Yeah I'm gonna go see the MELVINS in Orangevale CA
and it's gonna be my first concert EVER
I'm 15 almost 16 years old and wondering if you guys have any
advice/tips anything to share with me?
I don't know what to expect
I'm kinda nervous but completely fuckin' excited
I get to see my fuckin' heroes on stage!

Hey bro, I envy you.  I wish I could have heard the Melvins at age 15.  Glad to see younger lads listening to great music, and not that emo-screamo bullshit.  Too much of that shit nowa days.  I believe I was 18 or 19 when I first heard the Melvins, it was my senior year in High School.

And by the way this show was tits.  I probably saw you(I had a green Claypool shirt), I did see some young kids there, but that's a good thing, newer generation of Melvins fans.

I happened to pick up the blood shirt (melvins), pretty cool and picked up Nude with Boots for only 10bux, saved some dough for sure.
On my dick you shall sit.

Yes Two drummers make the song even more EPIC!
truly!

Your emphasis on the word epic made me lol.

You made the right choice going to that show; a stunner choice on firsts.

I'll never see Melvins. And... fuck it. I can listen audio.
No seriously don't settle for JUST the audio.
Get your ass over here to the states!
When Buzz says in interviews about how the
ezperience of seeing bands live is better (espescially the melvins)
he was so right!
everything sounds WAY better live.
heavier also!by far
the energy is amazing.
You'll love it.
:D
I'm glad for you.

I thought that was a painful post, especially since it contains so much truth, and since I knew you will most likely never be able to experience the Melvins' live sound. Good to see you take it like this ;)

Just wondering, how's the live scene where you're from, molorov? It's an off topic question, but we're on the third page already of a show review thread, so no one will care :P

Live shows?.. I live in Nizhnevartovsk and of course we have live scene, but it's only russian rock bands.
M-m-m... In '98 here was Nazareth... This June here was Smokie... I think it's only two foreign rock bands who was here.
In 30 kilometers from us - the city Megion, there in August is rock-open-air "MegaDrive". There come the best russian rock groups...
And... it's all.

Of course it's not enough. Here live same civilized people as well as in all other civilized world. And we too want greater cultural events, but we have that we have.

Lunica

Do you live close to any bigger cities that put on more appealing shows, or are you kinda stuck there? I mostly saw local shows where I'm from as well, cause the big bands played in the big cities, and not a lot of trains (that means none) travel at night in the East of Norway.
How is Russian rock?
i don't have a square to spare. can't spare a square.

molotov

Foreign bands come to Russia to Moscow or St.-Petersburg. I here already spoke that from Nizhnevartovsk up to Moscow of 4100 kilometers. I work, I have wife and son. I can't permit oneself a trip to Moscow to any concert.
