Going by that i guess im the 5% then. Being so obsessed by Melvins (or any one band for that matter) is not for me and i find slightly unusual. I admit i have been like that in the past with certain bands when i was younger but i couldn't do it now. Too many great bands around to focus on just one.

What if there was a Sleep forum as hopping as this place?

People have asked me this before and trust me i would say exactly the same. I wouldn't want to join ANY other forum about ONE single band. Admittedly i'd no doubt read bits now and then out of curiosity (which would go the same for any band i enjoy) but i still don't like that singular mentality. There's no sense of perspective for starters. For instance i've never subscribed to the popular belief around here that "us Melvins fans are smarter than other music fans" or other elevated statements similar to this. Every online forum i've ever read that is centered around one band has people who think that particular band is better than any other or that they are superior for liking them. It's total nonsense. It's all just the same thing. People here making fun of those folk on the KISS forum. Well, to me they are exactly the same as the folk here. The only difference is it's KISS being talked about and not Melvins.

Take this place, but remove schnab. Then are we smarter?

I don't think most of us are obsessed with The Melvins the way that guy implied.  It's just hilarious to me how he found a forum with fans of a band and connected it to satanism.  Gee, maybe we like the music?  Maybe we'd like to talk about how awesome Hostile Ambient Takeover is with the 50 other people on the planet who think so?  Maybe they aren't very popular so we like to talk about them here?  Maybe we'd like to discover other great bands and tours through other Melvins fans?  Nope, Satan.

It seems like just the other day we were joking about lizard people.  Well it turns out at David Icke's forum, the guy who honestly believes lizard people are real, some people believe The Melvins are a part of a satanic cult.

Buzz had an Upside down Cross on his Cabinet with Upside down cross written on it (possibly in homage to the band upside down cross) On his amp, and Devil on the headstock of his LP in the bullhead era.

What about Laughing with Lucifer at Satans Sideshow, What about the pentagram on the Trilogy vinyl! BY GOD its all there!

Because the same year they wrote GGIIBBYY the real Gibby was clearly involved with the Illuminati assassination of River Phoenix.  They wanted Phoenix dead because of his political activism and involvement with Costa Rica.  This was obviously the first step in summoning their satanic power so they could murder the new spokesman of a generation, Kurt Cobain.  No one would ever suspect the band with a two headed puppy on their album cover but if you look closely the two headed puppy clearly resembles Cerberus.  The two children represent America's childlike innocence to play with the devil.  The government also drugged Courtney Love so she'd act crazy and we would believe that she was actually behind his death.  A conspiracy within a conspiracy.

Now that you have these facts what will you do now?  Will you go back to bed like the rest of the sheeple?  Or will you spam the truth on Facebook until everyone believes?
