If you're not listed above, your order will go out on Monday. We'll keep the order option available as long as we still have copies here to sell. At the time of this post, around 1100 are spoken for. The official release date is April 7th. 3000 were printed with 1480 intended for retail (store) sales.

I have already read about it.
it'll be 50 bucks and come with a cassette recording of buzz farting the national anthem.
I just got my book/cd yesterday. I haven't listened to the cd yet, but skimmed thru the book. I like the comic called "sup man", haha

And so what if he would? Never mind what's been selling, right?
Got it in the mail today. CD sounds great, skimmed through the book. The tour journals are hilarious.
just got mine. pretty sweeet
Listening to it now. I never really liked Koolegged for whatever reason but the version on here kicks ass.
Just got mine yesterday. No time to check it out yet.
I got mine yesterday, along with the entire run of Manchild and some other shit. Very nice to win something in connection with the Melvins. It used to seem like just saying their name out loud would lose me a girlfriend or a job. CD is awesome. I was at that Boston show. I only wish they would have included "Dog Island," which I recall being especially ferocious that night.
Any favorite comic strips in the book?
Of course, all the Melvins-related stuff is gold for informational as well as humor value. I don't share Walsby's passion and nostalgia 80s "hardcore." As he point out again and again, a lot of people involved in that scene were completely close-minded assholes. So even the satirical stuff in that vein gets old for me. I prefer his "left-field" bios of musicians like Scott Walker and Cheap Trick. But my favorite strip has to be his "Anne Frank Memorial Disco," the original of which I got as part of my "special prize." Woohoo!
Listened to it today on the way to work. Of course it kicks ass. Of course.
I won too.
The two pages of drawing that i got were the last two pages in the book, the "liner notes" drawings. The coolest part was that the photos were actually cut out snapshots from way back when glued to the page!
Thanks Bifocal and Brian!

I know Walsby has been selling pages from his books for $50.00 a pop through his site. This is for the actual inked page (not a print) I don't know what's left as they tend to go pretty quickly when he does this; but it might be worth a try for you comic/art collector folks.
we aren't interested

funny but somewhat true, the last girl i was properly with seriously questioned me about if i really want a girl like her if i listen to music like that. she brought the "issue" up a few times. she ended up dumping me to.

Fixed that for you.
You would drop $50 for a page? to each his own homey. I just thought you were more punk rock than that. I personally think comics are fucking stupid. I appreciate the music though, and he has my $ so I can state my opinion on something I own. With all due respect.

I don't care whether you like comics or not, I don't like it when you are speaking for 'us', because that also includes myself, and I have my own believes on this matter. I don't care if Walsby wants to sell blood turds by Buzzo for a thousand bucks, what the hell does that have to do with my 'integrity'? I like the downside of free markets as much as the next guy, but a better alternative starts with yourself, not with my opinion.

Walsby's got Bloody Buzzo Turds...how much? I like Walsby's comics & I don't understand why everyone gives him a hard time.
I mean he is making new/old melvins stuff available. If anyone out there is still mad that he called Melvins fans weird & creepy, then maybe you should stop acting weird & creepy. :D

fair enough, I was a bit rude there, my bad
It's funny how he wrote about the creepy Melvins fans. Yet for years this guy draws comics about Buzz and Dale? Or is this where I failed to see a joke?
absolutely right, and thats why with kev they were perfect, they are creepy
...
basically if your into the melvins...
you seem to be able to appreciate whatever is beautiful there is to appreciate in this life that is.
but you are a fucking weirdo, just accept it.
walsby was just venting like we all like to do.
The funny thing is, Walsby is going to put a character in his next melvins book named 'Ruick' who's a psycho melvins stalker!
Walsby is cool, if Ruick and Walsby met, I'm sure they'd be friends.

I thought we were done making fun of walsby, but if not, I'm into it! Ever notice how he had the dream job of touring with the melvins and yet denigrates the people who make that possible? I notice.
now c'mon man, see the post i made of the dead horse being flogged a few posts back. Walsby is ok
Why do you guys/gals take that shit so personally? I think a lot of you are jealous of Walsbys closeness with the band. I've been to at least three shows where he was working the merch table & he was nothing but nice to me. Odds are if you were offended by the 'Creepy comments', you are one of the creepy fan(atic)s he was referring to. Be happy with your new Melvins live cd and chill out....Also, if you read the new comic,he kind of apologized for what he said before. :)
Walsby was actually quite friendly to me as well the couple times that I spoke to him at shows.
I wonder how he would have treated me if he knew I came here. :D

I admit to being jealous of his "closeness with the band", if by that you mean his proximity to them while they were playing.
I hope in some weird way that all of this silliness generates a few pages in the next
installment of Manchild.
Walsby's heart is in the right place, when I requested the unreleased track from the
Making Love demos on his myspace page, he emailed me an mp3 of it the next day,
he's a good egg.
I bet he's alright, plus poster psychos are pretty weird indeed, I'll give him that much

WOW! Just saw this for the first time in a while. I'll be passing news of this commotion along to Walsby today over coffee. Honestly though...He loves this shit. This kind of thing is nothing new to Brian as he's been at this sort of thing for around 30 years now. Brians "fans" (of which there are a ton... from all over the world...I assure you) appreciate and recognize that his satire is directed just as much at himself as it is at his other targets ("Creepy Melvins Fans" for example). I guess you'll all have a chance to discuss this with Walsby soon enough as he's be going out with them again this Summer.
Beers,
