San Diego set list anyone? It was perhaps my favorite all time show since the Big Biz rhythm merger. I kind of felt bad for Phil having to follow that set up... then again, not really. Consider that all of the bands from the night were behind and on side stage during the mELVIns set... just shows how influential they are to all forms of sludge. No one compares.
I loved it when Buzz told the crowd that no one has ever been arrested for arguing as oppossed to getting into a fight during the show.
My friend snagged their set list from this show. I'll post it once he sends me a pic.
Set was very short compared to the two set show I saw at the Blank Club, but that was to be expected. They ended with the Civilized drums into Smiling Cobra though and didn't play With Teeth, Hooch, The Bit or Night Goat. Still got POTRE, Talking Horse, Bloated Pope, Mr. DNA, Anaconda and Zodiac. I got waaay too drunk that night but I had a great time at the show just chillin pretty much in front of Buzz. Can't remember much else. One Down fan yelled, "Let's start a pit guys!" That was quite funny considering at that point he just started running around in circles and it became that one man took up the space of a ten+ foot diameter circle. San Diego is super tame especially the HOB...it was an entertaining show with minimal annoyances. I made it right before the Melvins started and left right when Dale started packing up his drums. No poster and the same shirts as before.
