any more word on if (and when) The Melvins are planning on working on a new album? I know it was briefly mentioned by Coady in an interview a few months back, but at that time it was maybe.

I would really like for the next studio album to be Buzz, Dale, and Trevor Dunn with a return to their more experimental side(i.e. H.A.T., and Honky)

He's too full of himself and he's hypocritical with his politics imo BUT he's a great entertainer, no doubt. He's sharp and funny and if he did actually write most of the Dead Kennedys songs well he'd be one of the greatest songwriters in punk history. I had a blast watching him perform with the Melvins in Chicago and he definitely had an old school type of stage presence and he looked like a professional that knows how to handle the worst of crowds. Not that this crowd was but he just carried that commanding attitude.

I would have liked the chance to have seen Dead Kennedys or Jelvins live. I am not a big fan of the collaboration with Melvins, but I would like to see him live

DK was a pivotal band for my teens. the jelvins live shows were pretty cool. i totally dug the dead kennedies covers but after seeing him perform live a couple of times, (including w/ tool) and attending his spoken word events, ive come to the conclusion that i just really dont like the arrogant bastard. live jelvins = fun. studio jelvins = unlistenable. haha, no I didn't have a bad experience with Merzbow. His stuff is not really my thing (except the beat-oriented material), but he could still bring some creativity to the table, and might be good as long as it's not a free-form noise record (like COD). What I meant was that it would be cool to have subtle amounts of noise, while still being able to hear the drums/guitar/bass/vocals.

nope but also if the quality was better the album would have been disappointing for me because i was expecting something new and not just a remix of WW&S.i think that album is disappointing also for this reason
