Quite often I see GPT on vinyl for sale on ebay - and the sellers usually claim that their copy is the "original pressing".
Well, over the years I've been fortunate to own several copies of GPT on vinyl - but the first copy I bought was from a friend of mine who purchased the album when it came out and it is quite different from the copies I usually see for sale on ebay.
Major differences from my copy (which I consider to be "original pressing") includes:
- there's no track listing
- Matt and Buzz' names have been switched
- the sleeve is matt cardboard where later pressings have glossy sleeves
- the letters 'MPO' are engraved in the vinyl on side A - on later pressings these have been overwritten.
So beware when you buy "original pressings" of GPT. They might not be!

That's very informative, thanks. I have the second one pictured there, now I'll have to look for the first! I have what I think is a test pressing, too. Should you wish to see it, please don't hesitate to ask.
Are there any letters engraved in the vinyl on your testpressing?
i wish i had bought it when i had the chance. being it was 1992, it was probably close to original. :x
my version is also the second pictured...
i think it's an original, but not first press.
Dang!
Got mine within a few months of its release & it's the 2nd version w/track listings....never realized that. :(
It seems like the version with the mixed names is more of an error run, instead of a true "original" pressing.
