Melvins show 13........

Totimoshi was rad, they made a fan of me.

Went with my dad, son, fiancee and two friends. Fiance, son and I planted ourselves in the front of the stage right in front of Buzz for the whole show, something I have always wanted to do. A good time was had by all. The dumbass crowd surfer kicked my glasses off my face, which popped out the lens. Luckily it was found and repaired. One of the roadies noticed my kid and gave him a poster, which was cool. Not one of the Merch posters but just the promoter poster with the band on it. Very neat.

Buzzo is pretty interactive with the front row, I guess you have to be that up close to notice. Lots of eye contact, it looked like he was amused at my 11 year old right in front.

They played better than ever. Wished they would have kept the two sets, Roman Dog Bird is my favorite song.

Mods, on my home computer, whenever I try to log on I get an error message saying I'm banned from logging on and fuck you. What up with that?

I particularly enjoyed the anti-climatic "big rock ending".   They were all positioning themselves to do one final power chord to finish off a song and left us all hanging instead.  Good times!

I thought this was one of the weakest shows I've seen from them. These guys are professionals and always perform at a high level but they seemed a bit bored and running threw the motions. I just can't put my finger on it, but it just seemed off energy wise. Maybe its time to take a break with the Business and do something new with Dunn. I do love TBSM thought. Anyone else get where I'm coming from?

I gotcha, and I agree.  I certainly don't fault Melvins for trying, they are constantly touring, recording and coming up with new goodies.  But the last three records and tours have been a little blah.  But why does everyone want Dunn so badly?  To me that has been part of the blah factor, it seems like it's been Buzz and Dale "with special guest musician('s)" instead of a cohesive band.  From the Biz's perspective maybe they are bored.  Or frustrated?  They put out a new record and don't get the chance to do more than a couple months worth of shows before they have to report back to Melvins Inc.  They haven't even been opening for Melvins.    I don't know, I'm thankful they are still around period.

Melvins NEED to be a three member band period.

Keep whining, bitches.

Melvins never listened to their fans, why would they now?

I saw them recently as a four piece and they fucking blew me away,
the two drummer setup is brilliant, you feel it in your gut. Why would
they every go backwards, when they've always marched forward and
re-invented themselves so many times

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but after watching that video of "AMAZON" I just don't know what the negative reactions are about.  They look bored?  How?  Buzz looks really energetic to me, Coady and Dale are pounding the shit out of the drums, and Jared actually looks slightly more energetic than usual.  Check out some early Melvins/Big Business footage.

Now if you want to see a band that looks bored after touring too much check out this one:

I couldn't agree more on the Melvins need to be a 3-piece band.
The dubbel drum thing is nice and fun a couple of times but it begins to wear off.
These last three albums are dull and they just keep on pooping out these albums and songs without anything to say.
Don't get me wrong, i am a big Melvins fan, but they just seem uninspired lately.
The overal sound of the albums is a bit lame. But that's my opinion.

Ah well, you never know what's going to happen...

Nude with Boots is like, top 5 Melvins, y'all tripping. And then they do Chickenswitch and it's too weird. Melvins just aren't going to make HAT over and over again, deal with it.

I like to argue pointlessly about personal opinions in innappropriate threads, it pleases me.

If money gets really tight, you'll be seeing a lot more Melvins-Lite shows (which is cool with me).  I wish they would add another bass player and drummer.  Talk about something pounding in your chest.  More is always better! :P

Oh, did anyone notice the totally fucked up chick (and her boyfriend) towards the beginning of the show.
She was kind of stumbling around and she kept bumping/annoying this dude wearing a faith no more tshirt.
He finally had enough and full force pushed the girl to the ground (can't say I blame him much).

At that point she was still trying to get near him and her boyfriend was wise enough to try and separate her from this dude wearing the fnm shirt as he was damn tired of being fucked with and wanted to enjoy the Melvins.

They must have been on some type of hallucinogen, definitely not just alcohol or weed.
