They're playing with High on Fire? Nice! Why are they playing with Primus again, I thought they hated that tour back in the day.

I hate that venue for that sort of gig, too.
on the facebook page they thanked canada ( toronto& quebec) and said "see you next year" so keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I'm under the impression that Primus really likes the Melvins.
Ler briefly mentions The Melvins in this interview. http://www.thevine.com.au/music/interviews/primus-_-interview20101207.aspx (http://www.thevine.com.au/music/interviews/primus-_-interview20101207.aspx)
The Vine: I saw that you're playing a sideshow with the Melvins, which is interesting to me, as I think you're both kind of musical outsiders in a way. Do you think there will be much of a crossover between Primus and Melvins fans?
Ler: You know, we'll find out. We toured with the Melvins probably 10 or 15 years ago in the States. It seemed to go over pretty well.
I imagine that the crowds at Primus shows in 1993 would be a lot a different than one in 2011. I'd pay top dollar just to see the look on those hippies' faces during "Hung Bunny" and "Roman Bird Dog."

I sure wish there was a Cleveland, Ohio show this year...
really hoping they will come back to Florida next year. I really don't want to see them opening for a shitty band like Down again, though it was great to see the Down fans reactions to Melvins playing the first 7 minutes of Pigs of the Roman Empire with all it's noisy glory and the half tempo version of Okie From Muskogee

They picked a hell of a time to play Mexico.
I'm hoping for an Atlanta and Athens GA date. The one time they did that I was too young to go to the Atlanta show.

Ding ding ding! Joe Preston has kicked all of them out of his band!
We`re closing in on march and soon it`s only 4 months till the first european gig, in France at Hellfest 17th of june. Obviously this is only one of perhaps many gigs in Europe, but it`s strange that we haven`t got other european confirmations yet than that. Are there someone who has any idea?

Ipecac have taken down the 19 March show in Mexico City. I'm assuming this has been cancelled/postponed. Looking into it....
I'd prefer if they played Rochester again, just cause it's a lil closer and you can get a garbage plate.
Though Mighty Taco is pretty good. I definitely stop by everytime I'm in town.
Syracuse has some bigger venues again, but I doubt that would happen.
Though I've been building a health following of Melvins worshippers here...

Last two Rochester shows were great, '08 @ Water St., and '09 opening for Down at the Armory.
I've lived near Batavia all of my life and never had a Tahoe's garbage plate. Dinosaur BBQ is bad-ass though. MT hits the spot, but there are better taco joints on the way to Buffalo, like Ziggy's(Main/Eggert). I'd be down for any Melvins show between Syracuse- Buffalo, and/or Cleveland, any night of the week this year.

I'd be down for any Melvins show between Syracuse- Buffalo, and/or Cleveland, any night of the week this year.
Then they could play Albany :D and then maybe North Hampton and all would be good with the world :D :D
or they could start coming up to ontario more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

For now, Osborne and company are holding off on gigs until late spring, when they embark on U.S. tour from mid-May to early June. Hitting Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Boston, and New York, the band will play two nights in each city with full-album shows, similar to their recent residency shows in L.A. at the Satellite.

I doubt it. It's just that Detroit, and other blue-collar towns like Buffalo/Rochester, will likely not be included in this exclusive mini-tour of HUGE major market cities. Sort of like when they played those handful of all-Houdini shows w/ Dunn in spring '09. It's annoying, but that's how it goes.
still waiting for a confirmed Florida date somewhere in the Tampa/St. Pete/Orlando area, or two out of three like in 2006.
what about the canadas?
toronto possibly, but that city is a pee on.
So I'll be the first to say they need to do H.A.T. in it's entirety.

Awesome another Melvins fan from the Guelph area.
I agree it'd be sweet to see them play in Guelph, not sure how big the turnout would be. Unless they skipped Toronto and only played Guelph.

Hi everyone! I was trying to find a place to post a 'ticket wanted' request and this seems like the closest thing?
Somehow I missed the announcement of the 2 Seattle gigs - happened across them while looking for something else on the Crocodile site and immediately bought tix for Friday's show, only to find that Saturday's was sold out. So, all I'm looking for is one ticket to the Saturday May 14th Seattle gig, at something resembling face value.
Thanks!! :P

You`re closer than you can even think. My mother in law, and her 3 siblings <one brother and two sisters, has inherited their late parents holiday house right over la plage de la reine, by the very foot of Cap Canaille. Living in Norway we visit the place once or twice a year. La plage de la reine is the alternative beach in Cassis, lots of hippies gathering there, aswell as some sort of rave/techno-parties going on, often around the cliff, towards the coastline leading to La Ciotat.
PM sent!

Last week I was telling someone at work about the Melvins coming to Europe in October. The guy I was talking to lives in a small town a few miles away from me called Worthing. AROUND THE TIME I WAS TALKING TO HIM ABOUT IT there was a small earthquake in Worthing.

English Channel earthquake strikes West SussexPublished on Thursday 14 July 2011 12:49
THE British Geological Survey detected an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 in the English Channel shortly before 8am today (Thursday, July 14). The earthquake was located approximately 80km south-south-east of Portsmouth, Hampshire. Several residents from the Worthing area reported feeling the quake, one saying:

Cheers. I heard they weren't taking on the same gigs that were booked before, or so their website says. I'll just phone them Monday and find out.
Please let us know what they say; I've already booked with Megabus!
The Globe's official reopening is on track for this Friday according to their facebook page;
http://www.facebook.com/theglobecardiff (http://www.facebook.com/theglobecardiff)
Bristol is now sold out.
Yeah, it seems the Globe is definitely going ahead.
Ended up getting tickets for Birmingham instead but might try and catch the Cardiff date too.
I'm going to the London show! just got my ticket and booked flights (650USD!!! mother fuckers!!).
Can anyone recommend a cheap decent hostel for the night of the show or has a spare couch for that night? cheers.
Can't fucking wait!!!!
Because there's no sign of a Manchester date I shall be venturing over the boarder to Leeds. I think tickets are getting very low for the Leeds date people. Bristol has sold out as well!
I made this ages ago as a joke now it seems more appropriate now than ever.

It's very unlikely there'll be a support band or bands in the UK, I'd imagine. It's not like Melvins to need or want support bands these days. I'm quite happy with just them, really. Maybe two sets from them? Are you going to The Thekla to see them? That sounds like an awesome venue.
This was from Coady on twitter the other day. Interesting.......

Sure is! First gig of a tour's always awesome. See you at the bar, and let me know if you know of a late night pub after the show. I'd prefer to sit down and drink until my bus leaves at 0400 the next morning.
The Zurich Gig lists now a "DJ Set by LaBombe" as support...
I will see..
I still hope for an extended melvins show!
for geneva the support is a dj set by the dj of the young gods.
so they probably hired local djs to do support for all of the tour?
dj in paris as well

just bought my geneva ticket! so it's geneva and zurich for me!
I cannot wait to know the setlist for this tour...
I'm going to Rome
Anyone went to the gig in Cardiff yesterday? If so, please share it with us, extremely curious what they kept from the Residency shows in the set list
cardiff set was
lysol, water, evil new, amazon, talking horse, its shoved, lizzy, kicking m, billy fish, up the dumper, electric flower,
queen, at the stake, copache, spread, history of b, ligature, the bit, shevil
yes ive copied the abbreviations direct from the set list on coadys drums. its a fill in the blanks.
also no merch just 3 shirts, nazi bird, happy halloween and official stamp. obviously box sets to come later on.
was a good gig, nice and loud, quite a small venue, my clothes are still wet, i drove home naked.

Thanks, setlist looks great, at the stake, lysol, amazon, ligature, awesome. :D

speaking of lazy joe, has anyone here got that thrones sedan split that came out this year.
i think i read somewhere joe admitting himself that he cant come up with any new material.
i cant even figure out what speed to play it at.
i told a friend the other day about the new mark d album and his response was, "i hope its nothing like all these joe preston lps you keep telling me to buy", this response being as a result of his disspointment with the sedan split and the daniel menche collab. i doubt ill ever talk him into buying anything joe has done again.

I know, everything is so damn expensive. Especially music - which makes no sense to me. Already in the 80's it was often cheaper to order vinyl from abroad (if you knew where and how). It's beginning to be hard to remember what it was like before the internet
Let's just hope that it doesn't take 25 years again before they include Finland in their European tour.

Jessi Eastfield is the KING of fare dodging. I've drummed for them a bit, but there again so have most of the population of the Midlands. In fact, I think that's me on that vid.
The one time I made him helpless with laughter was when he was at my place one weekend and wanted to listen to the Melvins as he wasn't so familiar with them. So I played Prick. I've never seen anyone laugh so much while listening to an album.
Hopefully he's coming to the Birmingham gig, too.
Possibly the nicest people in punk as well, I think the only times I've seen them was when Ben was drumming for them. Tell them Bryan from Glasgow says hello.

Elvis is gonna be so pissed with Dale when he see's him up in heaven, that there'll be a matching white jumpsuited brawl visible where the Northern Lights usually take place.
zagreb show last night was awesome... sound was waaay better then vienna show - smaller venue, 450 people, massive sound, really was great... and jared told us repeatedly that he loves us all kneeling at the end of the show which in vienna wasn't the case... will post some pics when i get the time
merch table was the same as vienna - 3 shirts + endless residency black edition - they had 10 and let one guy buy them all before the show!!! don't suppose anyone there would buy any anyway but still...

You're not serious are you...
Are there really such dicks?
we came to the venue at 21:10 - no merch table yet... went for a beer, came back after 7-10min to the merch table, merch guy wasn't yet prepared, just stuff behind him, and lp's in a corner bubblewrapped
i: endless residency orange?
merch guy: only black, but a guy came and bought all 10 we brought with us...
i: really? and you let him?
merch guy: buzz said it's ok
i: he's gonna make some money on ebay
in merch guy's defense - he said he had a shitty day thru customs and stuff, was held for questioning about some pills they found he had (for which he didn't have a prescription) till an hour before the show so he was really looking miserable and down...
I predict some healthy, philosophical debate on this page this morning.

pinky called buzz to ask if was ok and then called a guy who lives in europe to go buying the stuff for her. diabolical mind

Letting one person buy all ten? That's fucked up, and really makes no sense. Why let one person make a decent profit for doing- nothing? Why bring any merchandise at all on tour, if everything is going to go to one flipper, when you can just sell it through ebay directly? At least the band would get the profits.
the merch guy said that they only brought ten with them cause of customs fees - don't know where they left the rest... but yes, i'd like it much more for the band to make additional profit on ebay than some dick...
also if i understood him correctly, tonight in prague they'll only fill the missing sizes in shirts as they were left mostly with xl... he said that they won't have any music (except of endless residency probably) cause it doesn't sell well on concerts and also customs fees are high...
hope this doesn't ruin the anticipation for all the shows to come... maybe he didn't know what he was saying after whole day at the investigation room :)

Experience has told me that customs can be very thorough and very expensive, especially in Scandinavia. I'll try to get to the bottom of this in Copenhagen if no one else has first. If there are any orange around in the UK, I'll see if I can't buy half a dozen and post them to boardies at cost. Balls to customs, I'll declare them as 50cents and used.
It's a long shot but PM me a bit nearer the time if you want one.

What I think would happen if we all 3 hung out. :-k
While hammering New Castles's and blazing OG kush with both, I would sell Jules a Melvins gold paper clip for $399.00 and flirt with Black Stallion. Buy the next round.
We all would talk about MELVINS greatness until my husband returned from the bathroom where he had to wash both swanky and manwithnonames blood from his boots. 8)

update from jules, who is in copenhagen without internet access, on the vinyl:
there are no orange sets at the gigs until the black ones are sold out. the merch guy had 36 blacks left to sell last night. the orange sets will cost around 250 if they go on sale.
