This is working out well so far. I can see a time when there's a Merch Lord at every major city, entrusted and willing to snag merch for the rest of us who are too far away to get any ourselves and willing to pay a tip for the favour. I'll nominate myself to cover the UK, although judging from past experience, the only stuff we see different at UK gigs are the silk screen posters. Who knows what the future holds though?

Alright, So review time you undeserving cocks.

Woke up late and hungover on Friday, left around 2 in the afternoon. GF was excited as all hell. 4 hour drive, yadda yadda, got there about 30 mins before door opened. Got in, saw Jared sitting around, and frantically searched for mersh.Haze is a top shelf rad dude, and was very cool when I told him I was from the board. If I have business with you, rest assured that I got at least what I was asked to get. I think. Expect pm's tomorrow, as I "cannot be arsed to give it a proper fuckaround" today. I hope you guys understand that, me being tired as tits.

So they opened with the Lysol/Eggnog set, with Charmicarmicat into Roman Bird Dog/Hung Bunny. we were on the right side of the stage, getting blasted by a huge speaker tower, and lemme tell ya, it was RUMBLY. My right ear is still muffled from the racket. All the guys seemed like they were having a good time, especially Buzz who was actually grinning a lot. Hearing With Teeth was the highlight of the set for me, one of my faves. Ended with Sacrifice, I think. The whole set was fucking stellar, and the highlight of the night.

Set two was Houdini, which we saw in Seattle a few years back, with Dunn. But the second drums really added some oomph to the album, especially HAG ME, which they opened the set with. My fave from that album. The rest of the set went by pretty quick, a nice contrast to the plodding first set.

Set ended, we mingled for a bit, then hit the hay.

DAY TWO

hey, did you guys know, that Austin is hotter than fuck and smells like sour balls? Even more intensely than the rest of this godforsaken state. we spent most of the day hiding from the sun, checking out the free museums and hanging around campus. Fuck hot Austin. I mean, really.

Got to the venue around opening time, and waited.
Started with Bullhead, and this was the best set of either evening. Bullhead is one of my faves, and boy howdy, was it good and heavy. Your Blessened with two drummers! Pow! Bam! wowwee! I loved it.

Stoner Witch was the last of the set, and it was great too. At the Stake is my all time favorite Melvins song, and boy did it deliver. Was a little disappointed that he didn't play the solo, but we all know how much Buzz hates Mark....

Some guy jumped up with Coady and played drums at the end of the set, and Dale futzed with the bass for a bit and yelled YEEHAW at the crowd over and over.

Stellar fucking shows. I had a hell of a good time, and more importantly, so did girl!

Here! Here!! Sounds like good good times man. Great review Dc ... making me all jealous an' shit. Yeah, I like this Residency idea ... two nights, nothing but Melvins ... sweet stuff! They could play on that idea with all kinds of different themes ... not just the full album thing.

The correct term is ruffle not russell.  Russell is a mans name, were you trying to say rustle?  Rustle means muffled crackling sound or stealing livestock.  You're welcome. :D

So what did everybody get from DC?

So this Brian Foy is a fake.  This whoever has claimed my husbands name on the politically correct AM REP bored also.
Obviously the dude is a creepy one.

FYI-the person will be pro-EBAY and try to russell someones feathers. :bs:

It tales all kinds but why steal my husbands identity?
Must be very bored and lonely.

Anyhoot, let the games begin. 8)
The correct term is ruffle not russell.  Russell is a mans name, were you trying to say rustle?  Rustle means muffled crackling sound or stealing livestock.  You're welcome. :D

crucify me asshole.

You're fucking stupid...why don't you go Russell up a book, dipshit.

p.s I am K-I was turned on to the board at the show. AND DC...That wasn't even a very hot night. In August its 94 degrees at midnight. The great thing about visiting...is you can always go back home...if ya can't hang.

Welcome to the bored  :D

I was just looking at these pics on the Amrep forum

Gary (and Kyle) seem crazy cool  :D
I just read that thread...crazy cool. I am two picts. It was such a good time.

You can wonder about me all you want. Besides, what business is it of anyone's if I want more than one copy of something? What about the people who have multiple copies of the same 7" but in different colors? Do you wonder about them too? It's not like I am selling these things on Ebay to make a profit. I haven't sold a single thing on Ebay in my life, only bought. So kindly piss off and leave me alone about it. Especially you Brian Foy.
