just watched 500 days of summer and saw..
A Senile Animal poster at the record store. =D>
very cool
Watched Terror Firmer recently... I saw no signs of the Melvins in it, but The Horn Bearer was briefly played in one scene. Oh, and Lemmy is in it as a reporter.
How about a commercial?

there was a melvins sticker on a wall in an episode of 90210.i dont know why i was watching that show.

it's been a few years since i've seen it, but i think i remember seeing them in "terror firmer". i know they're on the soundtrack, but i only saw the movie a couple of times and i had taken a hefty amount of the devil's lettuce and can't remember if i saw them in it or thought i did. i asked before, but no one confirmed if they were or not. fuck it, i liked it and need to watch it again.
speaking of troma, they are apparently doing a major studio, big budget remake of "the toxic avenger".
I didn't like Terror Firmer at all but liked the last Toxic Avenger, Citizen Toxie or something.

For authenticity. No teenager I know would have a framed concert poster in their room. It also could have been a photocopy of the silkscreened poster.
I can't stand that Juno chick. :P

Couple of times they are mentioned, The married guy in the movie "used to be in a band that opened for Melvins". Juno says something like "What would the Melvins say" or seomthign. The only interesting part of th emovie
Melvins poster was also in Employee of the Month with Dax Sheppard. Also the highlight of the movei
Why can't you guys spell muvee... dammit!
Don't forget their prominence in Siverston's 2007 masterwork "I Know Who Killed Me."
I watched a movie the other night... and for the life of me I don't remember what it was (cut me some slack! it was like 2 am and I have been indulging in a couple different mediums) but these two dudes were sitting outside by some grafitti and it said EYE FLYS in big spray painted letters behind them. I totally forgot that I even saw that until I opened this thread.
now I MUST remember what it was I was watching.
I shall return.
Pretty sure this poster is also in Juno

I just remembered taht "Talking Horse" was in one of the killing scenes in the movie "President Evil" aka "The Tripper"... the movie itself was bad but that scene was cool!

Funny enough, I sold them that poster to use in the movie.
How about four kids embark on a journey to see the melvins in olympia only to find out that the show is sold out!
they stop at nothing to see the melvins live. Prick is the soundtrack and also cameos of Buzzo, Dale, Roky Erickson and Chucky the killer doll.
How about, this is a true story, two kids go to see Tool all hyped up about it weeks before hand.........only to discover they might as well have stayed home to watch some fucking grass grow with a Tool CD on which would've amounted to the same experience. But all of a sudden out of nowhere something amazing happens, one of them happily realizes that the opening band was so much better and 10 years later to this day he still post on the internets about this band and collect all their shit. BUT. there was a catch. To this very day he is trying to figure out the complete set list because there is one song that they didn't know about which happened and it continues to haunt him forever.....until...
So that sets up the cliffhanger. I'm still undecided to how to end the movie or how to make it interesting. Especially the 4 or 5 years posting on the internet part.
is this a script about your life you've been writing at starbucks? <_<
need and love thanks alot friend
In the BluRay edition of Episode IV, Buzz, Dale, Coady and Jared have been digitally added to the crowd of ruffians inside the Cantina.
Beck also also used Dales drum track off the end of bullhead, Looped a couple of fills for the end of soul suckin' Jerk on the Mellow gold record....It took me years and years to finally notice that.
listen to it.
Don't forget "A History of Bad Men" in that shitty lindsey lohan film when she's "stripping"

figures the name drop didn't resolve any credulance issues either.
same with Demon knight, man, I watched that whole movie, where the fuck was the tune the whole time?
just put it on the soundtrack only ? I can't see why that would increase sales at the time? or did they use like 2 seconds of it ?
and what is that movie I heard that Buzz, Dale and Lorax had a cameo in called "sewer slicer" ?
P.S.
they should be playin War on wisom on JUICEBOX right now!!! :D

Yeah the funny thing about Juno is they gave props to the Melvins and the Stooges yet I don't think either one were used in the movie or on the soundtrack anywhere, and the band that gets badmouthed (Sonic Youth) is on the soundtrack!
Also Spread Eagle Beagle is used in the movie Natural Born Killers (but isn't on the soundtrack).

It's during the prison riot. I think they're trying to figure a way out or something in a corridor and you can hear it in the background. It's also listed in the credits of the movie.
not a movie sighting but a while ago i bought a cd carrier and the pic on the front had the stag cd on top.

Such quality could only come from the same team at ILM that worked on the "Greedo shoots first" enhancement.
The only improvement Lucas made? Buzz Skywalker!
"Greedo shoots first" Causes me some significant outrage.
Almost all the changes are uncalled for. Lucas lost me further with the crap he pulled with the bluray release. Thanks, I'll save my cash.
Still gotta love those flix.
Some Directors Are worse than Melvins fans. :)
Indeed. But as long the boys don't go to past songs and alter them we're good.
Wait...leeech? I'm stepping in "banning" territory. Let's just stick to Georgie.

Nope Paul. Although I didn't mention the other altered songs on the album.
The difference between the artistic changes to the works of George Lucas and the melvins is this: Lucas has tried to prevent his original, non-special edition work from being distributed. The melvins have not. If Buzz & co. were to
only sell "new" editions of past material and bury the prior work I'd be pissed. I welcome different versions of songs which is partly why I dig the making love demos. So...its the suppression of Lucas' original work that I have a problem with, in part.
Got ya. I don't know if there's any Weezer fans here (I'm fair weathered at best, they only put out two good albums), but from my understanding Rivers Cuomo goes back and rerecords guitar parts and otherwise edits the original recordings in a way that George Lucas goes back and makes changes to his films. Both of those ideas really annoy me.
I don't know if ex-members/temporary members count, but Dale Nixon was in The Muppets. He played the Animal character/drummer in a Muppets tribute band called The Moopets.
Lukin goes hollywood!
Black Sheep (6/10) Movie CLIP - Voting Kicks Ass (1996) HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW7IadnQblg#ws)
Just watched "A True Testimonial" ... a documentary 'bout the MC5; which has been languishing unreleased in legal limbo for the last ten years ... too bad it was a really good watch ... some great footage and hilarious moments ... drummer Dennis Thompson on Iggy and the Stooges ... "Raw Power? Yeah whatever, Blow Me!"
In the bonus features there are MC5 "testimonials" from famous fans ... including the Melvins. Short little interview with Buzz & Dale ... looks to be late 90's ... they hold up a pic of Tyner and Thompson of the 5 that looks eerily like Buzz & Dale and then the fuzz come and hassle them 'bout what they're doing in the park after dark ... the end.
Really!! Hmm, I guess I better watch that! BLast from the past! When did this come out.

So I'm flicking 'round the tube yesterday night and Bullitt is on so I pause and watch a minute or two ... McQueen walks up a staircase at the top landing on the wall there is a number of paintings/art ... painting used as the cover for Lysol was one of 'em.
I'm sure this was osted elsewhere at some point, but my favorite Melvins on screen is the first season of True Detective when they used "A History of Bad Men" or something from ASA in that flophouse raid scene.
Tangentially related... So far season 3 of True Detective is delivering the goods. Mahershala Ali is captivating and holy smokes his love interest, played by Carmen Ejogo, is just stratospherically out of my league hot.
there's a Melvins sighting in the new Steve Carell movie about the boy, not the one about dolls
