I think it's tricky to disassociate the video from the song itself but trying to do so i'd say The War On Wisdom is my favourite. Closely followed by Electric Flower. I like the aesthetic, the camera tricks, the way it corresponds to the song and most of all that final bit with the pull out view of the gong to the rest of them rockin'. That moment coupled with the music is flat out AMAZING.
Simplicity paired with a good (stupid) idea. Add some base editing. Here are the results:
11. Electric Flower (I'll keep my mouth shut about this one)
10. The War on Wisdom (maybe I still have to get used to the song, but no thanks)
09. Revolve (has its moments, didn't click with me as a whole)
08. The Kicking Machine (cute, isn't it?)
07. The Talking Horse (watched it again and again when it came out, it's burned into my retina)
06. Hooch (how could you visualize a drinking problem any better?)
05. Lizzy (run amok always seems a good idea)
04. Bar-X-the Rocking M (porn director, nice backrounds and costumes, the Melvins at their major label best)
03. Mombius Hibachi (hilariously trashy)
02. With Teeth (although it seems nothing special and kinda cheap, the combination of audio and video works perfect for me here)
and the winner is
01. Night Goat (envision, execute)

Are you telling us to envision a Night Goat vid because i wasn't aware there was one? I could be wrong tho. As for The Kicking Machine do you mean that black and white Pitchfork or whatever it was clip of the four of them in a hotel room playing the song?
There's no music video for the kicking machine or night goat. And everyone's forgotten queen! As for me, I have to say the war on wisdom is my favorite.
I've never seen this before
Melvins - Queen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BafSlqFVuGM#)
Pancake Mountain shouldn't count. It's not even the name of a song. It's just a live version of "The Kicking Machine".
The Talking Horse is by far my favorite and it's about the only Melvins music video I watch somewhat regularly. Everything about it rules and it stars Dian Bacher!
Also, it finally hit one million views!
:D hadn't seen mombius hibachi before.
Pretty sure With Teeth was a school project. Someone did it for class back in the 90's - i remember contacting them on Youtube years ago just to say what a good job it was.
I think it just "became" official like Mombius Hibachi and so too this message board it seems.
I adore the With Teeth video, so nostalgic and captures a very different melvins in another place and time - it's almost like a faded dream from a past life or a distant memory that will never happen again. Fucking great video.
Kind of Half-Melvins but my favourite would be the Fantomas/Melvins Big Band DVD from a few years back. Perfect live video. It never gets old or boring and sounds great.

Just having a little fun here. Night Goat = Honey Bucket, The Kicking Machine = Pancake Mountain. But somehow it let you to make the right conclusion: the best video is the one playing in your head.
And please don't care too much what's official or not, With Teeth is great and so is The Kicking Machine.
Ah, and the forgotten Queen, somewhere between places 10 and 09.
If you're referring to me Shatz, I agree - I don't really think it matters if it's official or not - just thought it might be interesting for those who didn't know.
No, didn't mean you, found it interesting to know (and slightly suspected it).
I'm just saying Pancake Mountain seems half official enough for me to be the video for The Kicking Machine.
It's not like there's a rule book for things of that nature.

Yeah, i guess that's true now in the youtube age. Anything is or can be a video.
1. Mombius hibachi
2. Hooch
3. Honey bucket
4. Revolve
5. Bar x the rocking m
6. Lizzy
7. Queen
8. With teeth
9. Electric flower
10. The war on wisdom
11. The talking horse
Numbers 5-8 should be in no specific order..
I didn't add pancake mountain, but it would be high up there :)
I favor Mombius Hibachi.
looks like the same director or crew that was doing the John spencer blues explosion type vids.
OH...and ESPECIALLY because it's got a intergali-actic journey to planet METAL HEAD!!! :x
every vid has it moments!
The "product colonge" picture ALWAYS gets me
also the one shot in "with teeth" of stinky preston when he's rubbing his eyes in slow motion, and not even doing anything he should be doing, like actually playing along with the rest of the band!!! :P
-Revolve has got to be the best rock and roll video ever made.
and smells like teen spirit is a pathetic attempt to recreate things I have seen in the "lizzy" video. (among other things)
Honey bucket usually reminds me of Dr. sphincter.
anything else you want to know? :)
I picked "The Talking Horse", for the simple reason that it stars Dian Bachar (from Orgazmo and BASEketball).

mombius hibachi is the obvious winner here. it's entertaining and so b grade , its really funny.
