Title: The Melvins Wikipedia
Post by: Bullsol on March 29, 2012, 12:40:30 PM
Hi guys and fellow Melvinmaniacs. I know it's an odd introduction, but I think it's important.

The Melvins need a improved wiki page. It's a mess in its current form. We need more substantial details about band's unique instrumentation and musical impact on several genres and a generation of bands. And a bitter user called "Legitmang" continues to spread lies, misinformation and half-truths about the band. Where are the fans?

I can't disagree it does need a bit of a tidy up. Us fans know most of the things tho so i don't think it matters too much.

There is at least one proper place for misinformation, it is The Melvins wiki page.

It would feel right, to read nothing true, in THE MELVINS wikipedia entry.

That might be appropriate. Melvinsy, indeed.

We got a split album with Layne L'Heureux, but a fully-Blood Noize LP does not yet exist... maybe it'll happen sometime in the next year, though?

(Paul), The Wikipedia Melvins entry, not the MelvinsWiki.

Metalhead cow, A chinese giant salamander.

TheLegitMan93, I know it's not you. But the whining vandal deserves to be reported to an admin. He seems to have some personal vendettas against this board.

"Recently the Melvins became upset when they read what was being posted on the melvins fan forum, so they took control and began banning anyone that posted anything that wasn't completely flattering. Haze XXL, owner of Amrep Records, cried loudly that he would ban anyone over anything he disagreed with. He has stated that he will not sell records to those that post negative reviews of the Melvins. Ironically, the Melvins are notorious for making fun of other artists, like Kid Rock, Marilyn Manson, and Ozzy Osbourne."

Dunno. But I guess it's an isolated "parasaito shinguru" with no reason to exist.
