I wish I could find a copy of the letterpress Alive At The Fucker Club. That's the only one I need other than the box set.

Are those different inserts for two different GPT's?... Mine only had one insert (The one that says 1986)

Still cranky about not being able to get the B&B's @ the NYC show  :x

Yes, two different versions.
Tell me about it w/ B & B letterpress.
I had to pay big time for that one via e-bay..

Maybe at the upcoming NY show you can settle the score. 8)

I may be wrong, but I think there's a version with a gold seal and one with a silver seal. If these have different inserts, too, I'll be happy as I may be getting both versions.

The inserts were split randomly for GPT.  The main difference with the GPT is the numbering, one version was 1/50 and signed, the second was 1/59, unsigned.  I think the seals were just according to what they had, the first few of the Bulls Bees started out with gold, and changed to silver.

I might be wrong here, but I think that the unsigned version was only from 51-59.  I haven't seen any outside of this range of numbers.

It was a new run.  I've got a picture of at least one copy marked 20 or 30/59.. I'll post it when I find it.

I never liked those cardboard covers. You can't even listen to it without the cover getting worn out.

Makes me think of my special edition of War Stories by Unkle, I had to actually damage the box to get the CDs out. Or that fucking Torche EP that comes in an envelope.

Ahg, they don't listen to me , they just do as the please.
i feel like they are using me, it makes me feel the emotion of sad but with a hint of empty. This one time one looked right into my eyes, well with only one of his because they are on the sides of their heads so they really can't look at you straight on but more askew. That made me feel like standing in a barn but with no livestock just the sound of pigeons canoodling up in the rafters.
Ahg, they don't listen to me , they just do as the please.

Maybe this will help:

When God, disgusted with man,
Turned towards heaven,
And man, disgusted with God,
Turned towards Eve,
Things looked like falling apart.

But Crow Crow
Crow nailed them together,
Nailing heaven and earth together-

So man cried, but with God's voice.
And God bled, but with man's blood.

Then heaven and earth creaked at the joint
Which became gangrenous and stank-
A horror beyond redemption.

The agony did not diminish.

Man could not be man nor God God.

The agony

Grew.

Crow

Grinned

Crying: "This is my Creation,"

i feel like they are using me, it makes me feel the emotion of sad but with a hint of empty. This one time one looked right into my eyes, well with only one of his because they are on the sides of their heads so they really can't look at you straight on but more askew. That made me feel like standing in a barn but with no livestock just the sound of pigeons canoodling up in the rafters.
Ahg, they don't listen to me , they just do as the please.
Maybe this will help:

When God, disgusted with man,
Turned towards heaven,
And man, disgusted with God,
Turned towards Eve,
Things looked like falling apart.

But Crow Crow
Crow nailed them together,
Nailing heaven and earth together-

So man cried, but with God's voice.
And God bled, but with man's blood.

Then heaven and earth creaked at the joint
Which became gangrenous and stank-
A horror beyond redemption.

The agony did not diminish.

Man could not be man nor God God.

The agony

Grew.

Crow

Grinned

Crying: "This is my Creation,"

Holy shit!!! The creation was cardboard letterpress sleeves!!
And the morning and the evening was the first Dale.

Does anyone know where Mackie get the cardboard cd jackets for these letterpress cd's?
i have found some but not quite like these ones, these seem a bit more solid then the other ones i've found online
Hers are knitted from crow's wings she finds in the garden.

Fuck , i don't have a garden!!!
Oh, come now, is not a flutter nut required to have a thumb of green, hmmmm?

Woah....
Whoa indeed.  Schnab has somehow taken over my thoughts.  I'm seeing things no one should ever see.

Are those different inserts for two different GPT's?... Mine only had one insert (The one that says 1986)
I may be wrong, but I think there's a version with a gold seal and one with a silver seal. If these have different inserts, too, I'll be happy as I may be getting both versions.

According to Haze, the "gold and silver seals" or "The Melvins Official Stamp of Authenticity" are Buzz's touch to these releases. They are random.  I really like that idea. It says to me that he is happy with the Art on his band's releases. He actually looks at it and adds his "touch." Nice!!  It's great that he is involved in the process of making these treasures.  Buzz once actually told me (with much pride) that he hand stamped all the vinyl in the Endless Residency boxset.

buzz actually folded and glued together most of those letterpress cd's during down times while on the road over the 51/51 tour so next time you see him give him a glue gun refill pack as an additional encourager

Jules helped with a few CDs and vinyl from the tour, but otherwise it's been eBay or Discogs or the likes. I tried another deal, but it went bust. So I tried a backup, same thing. Then another backup, bust.
Since last summer I've been selling my other valuable records to get all the new Melvins stuff. eBay is kinda expensive and now I'm running out of records I can spare to sell :(

My Letterpress collection is growing  I think it's been breeding over night when we sleep

The bottom row - all but left corner - is from the new tour. I opened them mostly because OCD made me line them up the best I could - but I had to be quick because my cat really likes them and tries to give them hugs. I really don't blame her. Plus, the insides are extra sloppy (in a good way) and extra hand painted.

I'm looking for Bulls and Bees and Fucker Club. I have a few dups (which really arent dups because they have different stickers, stamps, signatures, you know the routine) but am interested to see if any person has any mentioned or something else and might want to make a nice friendly trade? Eh?

Edit: I also need Live History of Gluttony and Lust.
So that. Fucker Club. Bulls and Bees. Then I got them all
(in one form or another)

Finally I managed to put mine in line. In (near) alphabetical order. The box set sleeves do not have the stamp, so I have to get the individual releases too. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't remember what. At least COD, but I never listen to that anyway. And 26 Songs.

Third row is Freak Pukes. I bumped it down with Melvins vs. Minneapolis to get it even, although MPLS is not letterpress. Also had to add two other cardboard sleeves in the right corner to get this nice and square.

Ah yes,
Houdini Live, Mangled Demos, 26 Songs, and COD. Then I think I have the lot.

Well, also the version of Basses Loaded without the DVD.

The red ink version of The Bootlicker is missing from that list. It has small differences compared to the brown ink one beside the ink colour. My both brown ink ones have the same details, the red is a bit different.

And the Basses Loaded + 51 in 51 CD+DVD letterpress is missing from the list.

Nice collection, J! Alive at the Fucker Club I am still searching. Still got about 20 of them: For someone who is rather into vinyl :-D

Thanks!
I haven't been into CDs for 20 years, but I love Melvins, special editions, Haze and Mackie art, so these have become yet another expensive Melvins obsession  #-o

Anyone got a spare Houdini Live, Mangled Demos, 26 Songs or COD letterpress? Or a copy that you just want to get rid of?
