wow, this hasn't happened since the end of days with Kevin
I have a mate who's there. He says he doesn't know why Melvins have cancelled, Sleep didn't play either (for Matt Pike's health I've been told) and now he's watching The Cure!
bummer, I hope nothing bad have happened to them (same goes to Matt Pike).
By the way, I was watching the live streaming performance of Soundgarden at Rock am Ring And I forgot about Harvey Milk's show at Primavera, did anybody see Harvey Milk?

they will be streaming Harvey Milk later here http://www.wfmu.org/ (http://www.wfmu.org/) at 11:15
Wonder what's going down... Hopefully everyone is alright.
The Cure? Did they make that decision based on hair height?
Just read that apparently Matt's in hospital and from what i can translate from some guys Spanish Twitter site it seems it's a blood clot on his brain.

Excellent but I'm a little confused with the whole zone time differences, right now in Chile is 6:13 PM same as New York.
Apparently we have the same time so it should be at 11.15 pm New York/Chile time, right?

I feel the same way. I was really looking forward to seeing Sleep tomorrow night at the Scion Metal Fest, but now it looks like that is not going to happen :( :( :( Hope he gets better soon.
wow, pike hospitalised! hope he will get out soon and hopefully cleans up his act here a little.
i wonder what's the reason for the melvins cancelling? hope everybody's ok and that i don't have to worry about big business' a'dam gig next week...
shit,i didn't know of Matt.any fresh news about him? also the Melvins cancelling the show sounds very strange
Hopefully Melvins is just food poisoning or flu or stomach bug or something. Nothing worse.
Hope Pike is OK
from Sleep facebook, hope this means it's nothing serious
QuoteSleep wishes to apologize for the cancellation at the Primavera festival in Barcelona. We hope to return soon.
Praise Iommi.
Seems like the initial news about Matt's health was exaggerated. The Scion AV Twitter page says that Sleep are ready to play the festival. Thank goodness. =D>

i'm so happy if that's true! i thought it was strange they didn't cancel the rest of the dates if the health problem Matt had was so serious
Any word on Melvins cancellation? And was it the I'll Be Your Mirror ATP set that was cancelled or is this Primavera thing something different?
Had weird Melvins dreams last night. Was sitting at a booth in a restaurant with Buzz. For some reason I had a back pack and Buzz continued to unzip the front compartment and pull out random objects, toss them on the floor. Odd stuff to be sure.
Best thoughts to Buzz, Dale, Coady and Jared, the Crew, and to Matt from Sleep and others. Will be very curious to learn why Melvins cancelled.

Primavera was cancelled. It's an annual festival in Spain. They played ATP last week.
Coady posted on twitter about the BB tour ,which is starting today in England,so must be nothing bad. still don't know the reason though

Im guessing travel problems or some sort of logistic trouble.

Ah. Ok. Thanks buddy.
Does anyone around here have access to the boys' set at ATP? I would be equally interested in hearing and/or seeing the Dirty Three's set.
From Sleeps facebook
Sleep
Tonight: Scion Fest at The RITZ Ybor
Tomorrow (sold out) and Monday: Seattle at Neumos
Tuesday: Oakland at the Fox Theatre
See you all there. Get baked.
Just came back from having my mind blown by Sleep and singing happy birthday to Matt with about 300 or so other people. Phil from Down(at least it looked like him) brought out a cake for him.

That seems to be Down tradition whilst on tour. They've done it a number of times for folk.
Sleep put on a hell of a show. They opened with about 30 minutes of Dopesmoker and the rest of the set was great. Unfortunately I am terrible with song titles so the only other one I can remember is Dragonuat and either Son of Titan or Ice Titan. Very fucking loud!!
SONIC Titan :D
Thank goodness Matt is ok and back on stage. Heading to Neumo's to see Sleep in a couple of hours...and again tomorrow! I'm fucking stoked.
Does anyone know why the Melvins set got cancelled?

some people on facebook said the reason was the band not being happy with the backline but to me it sounds as total bullshit since they always play with their gear

I'm not sure they'd take their regular gear all the way from Manchester to Barcelona for one gig, then drive it back to Bristol where it lives. Doesn't make sense.

usually they use the same gear for the whole tour, their own gear when in US or rented (by them) gear when out of the US.
