So what was the whole tickets live and in person thing last night ? How crowded ? What time were people lining up at ? When were they all sold out by ? Did the fellas in the teenage combo hang out for a while and chat ?
I was looking at a copy on eBay, and I know the version of "baby won't you weird me out" is an alternate version, but looking at the pic of the insert it credits Jared and Coady but no Dunn? I'd this a big Melvins version? If so are there other songs done with that line up? Aside from hearing "a growing disgust" live
What I'm interested in is how many tickets were available to one person. It didn't seem like there were 175 people there and my friend who showed up too late couldn't get one. Maybe my perception of crowd size is a little off...
At any rate, I usually think all this hyper limited stuff is a little ridiculous but am happy to be going. I actually gave up on the idea of going the night before because of how crazy people get about this kinda thing but the Melvins' nerd tractor beam pulled me in just to see what the line was like. I hopped in line, grabbed a couple of beers while I waited and bought a ticket/record from Dale. Pretty cool. Thanks Melvins for a unique experience most other bands don't give their fans. Much appreciated!

I went, it was awesome. I'd say they played for about 35 or 40 minutes. It was hot as hell in there. Trevor rules with his upright bass.
About tickets, I think you were able to get as many as you wanted, but you had to put a name down. I was able to buy two, one for me and one for my wife who showed up an hour after I did and was a ways back in line.
Now I'm really looking forward to the 50 states tour, this lineup is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, due to the storm the night before, my train to NYC kept getting delayed. So, ended up driving and missing Melvins & G.W.A..
I did get to meet & chit chat w/ Haze for a bit and get some choice PoMoNeRePo items...both of Mackie's Sugar Daddy/Pig (huge) posters,
C.R.Garcia 7'' and the Melvins/Seawhores 12''....not to mention some really cool Japanese toys.

my report... It was totally awesome. Not going to do a detailed write up but - the art show was great - so cool to see some of those pieces up close (and a chance to get one of those Haze-hand-made Black Betty 7"s) (anybody know if that Chris Mars paiting for $18,000 sold?ha) - the show itself was killer. Melvins played first opening with Eye Flys.. couple Stag and some Freak Puke. It was super hot, super packed, well worth the pain in the ass to get up there from Baltimore (had to go up Thursday for the record/ticket too). Also wanted to say how amazingly nice everyone at TT Underground and Lit Lounge were - thanks guys! (especially whoever saved my poster for me when I left it at the bar by accident!)
