Doors open at 8pm, show starts at 9. Opening act is HEPA/TITUS.
Still haven't gotten tickets, but I'm definitely going. Might be rollin' solo and getting dinner upstairs it's looking like. Can't believe I'm having no luck getting anyone to commit to rollin' with so far. Won't stop me from attending though.
With Hepa/Titus , you lucky bastards!!!
Yeah. I usually skip opening bands, but (seeing as how this is Kevin Rutmanis' band) I might have to try to get there on time.
about to head to the city with the lady. spend time in dalores park. drink some two buck chuck. i can't fucking wait to see both trevor and kevin on stage again....

.....there ain't no goddamn merch tonight...... fuck Ottawa!
Postal service error? Can't be....you had shirts in Portland. What happened?
Merch was sparse, show was amazing. One of the best Melvin's shows I've seen, I'm surprised. I hope someone can post the set list. Fucking amazing !

Most likely it was the same as the other shows.
Eye Flys
Captain Pungent
Berthas
National Hamster
Worm Farm Waltz
Leon Vs. The Revolution
Mr. Rip Off
A Growing Disgust
History of Drunks
Baby, Won't You Weird Me Out
Holy Barbarians
Let Me Roll It
Set Me Straight/DCH
Sky Pup
Electric Flower
Freak Puke
Inner Ear Rupture
Shevil
Yep. Same set list. I'll post a video of Let Me Roll It/Set Me Straight/DCH/Sky Pup in a little bit. Great show but a little shorter than I expected (as they played shortened versions of more than a few of the songs). As good of a show as it was, I gotta say that I prefer the Big Business configuration though.
....and yes, merchandise was very sparse compared to what I am used to. Not a single Melvins shirt to be seen. Just some posters from what I could tell. Almost bought the autographed Mad magazine/devil face one, but wasn't a big fan of the artwork. If some of the other available posters where autographed I would have bought one for sure. I'm sure they'll be restocked soon; just another reason to make the journey to see at least one of their shows on the upcoming tour.
How much were the posters?
$20-25?
Between $25 and $50 I believe. The autographed one was $30.

Nice video, the Wings cover was a huge surprise, had no idea they were covering it. I thought it was great seeing them as a trio again, fresh switch after the run of so many shows w/BB.
I did buy gray the Hepa/Titis Gerber T shirt. I enjoyed seeing.hearing Kevin play. The last time was w/ the Melvins in Chicago. I was hoping he'd still have a bell on his bass, wishful thinking.
Slim's is a cool venue too. Nice set up. Sort of reminded me of the High Noon Saloon in Madison, but wider.
Great to hear from you again, Mr. ___-----_____------_____.

don't take it so personally, glennster! i've abandoned most of the interwebs in general for a girl! and work. and school. the girl and i just passed up the one year anniversary. needless to say, i'm never home anymore.
took the lady to her first melvins gig. she totally dug it, as did i. the last 15 minutes or so seemed to be a bass driven jam by mr dunn. fucking excellent. i think i'm gonna have to actually get this album now...
hepa/titus actually kicks a fair amount of ass. super psychedelic stuff. kevin looks nice 'n healthy, but doesn't wiggle as much as he did in the glory days.
on a side note, i think i like the melvins more as a four piece. the BB lineup is just fucking stellar. still, it's a hard call cause trevor dunn is the mother fucking MAN.
