Pretty sure the hot ticket item will be the 1983 ep available in CD and Limited/Expensive AmRep Vinyl form with art variations by Haze.
They also posted the letterpress Mackie was using for the Bulls and Bees 10" on FB so I assume they will have that for the tour. I don't think Freak Puke will be ready by the start of the tour per the estimation on FB. The next two Sugar Daddy splits are also due out soon but I'm not sure if that's a tour merch thing. Someone also posted three awesome posters being sold on the tour in another thread. I imagine there will be at least one 51 in 51 type shirt made too....I mean they are breaking a world record!!! (Also, I hear rumors of letter press Prick :lol: )

So even on tour nobody will get to open/pick out what Freak Puke LP they want? So you could in theory buy 5 and get all the same artist? Haha I love it! The 1983 CD's will have 5 different sleeves. Made 'em in the mini cardboard sleeve, and used all 5 designs being silk screened now. Prices, dunno yet, but cheap.
The 1983 vinyl versions, not so much. 5 different versions of color vinyl though. Crazy combo's too, multi colored hazes and blobs and tri colors. 700 in total, so each variant (sleeve/vinyl) is pretty small run.
I did think about doing a "chase" on the Freak Puke "blind sleeves", but ran out of cash. Believe it or not, doing 5 picture disc variations gets expensive (ha).
Haven't seen the finished product on Mackies letterpress "Bulls/Bess" sleeves, but there will only be 600 made of those, with a bunch of different color vinyl combo's as well.
Hee hee! The days of completists having every variant of everything are numbered! The only way round it will be to become a member of Melvins and buy all your own stuff.

With the amount of stuff people were buying last night, I can't see how the merch is going last. A dude in front of me was obviously there for the merch only (a dirty flipper). I can understand the hatred caused there but equally i can see they are people who are just taking advantage of a situation which is open to others to do the same too. It is. The fish on the Singles inside is same as the ASA cover and the Octopus on the Freak Puke is the same as the ASA letterpress. The original letterpress they made.

No. The opening band (Federation X) was about half done when I left the merch table. Besides, you can see the stage from the merch table, so I wouldn't have missed anything anyway.

Actually, Big Biz accepted cards at their section of merch. There were two separate lines, one for BB and Federation X & one for Melvins. That was another funny thing. Obviously the BB line was way smaller, so some people waited in that line only to find out they couldn't get any Melvins merch.
So I read on the AmRep board that there was no Bulls & Bees or 1983 vinyl at the Boise or Missoula shows. So...out of the good stuff after only three shows. Hopefully they restock at some point but if they don't, FUCKING LAME.
Around Minneapolis, they'll be getting the Freak Puke picture discs, and the two Pig splits (butthole surfers + the hardcore medley).

yep i got a 10" and the sugar daddy split w/ midwest hardcore (die kreuzen, necros, negative approach). they had the buttholes split too but that sold out. no B&B left, and the only letterpress cds i saw were Freak Puke and the 1983 set. some awesome Walsby drawings too...should have taken a photo of some. the Buzzo goes to College, Valley of the Dolls, and Nevermind were particularly great.
my friend and i weren't exactly sure what the 4xcds of 1983 set was all about...Walsby confirmed it was 4 cds of the same music with different covers. "cool if you are into that, pretty stupid if you're not" was his comment. :lol:

merch was quite scarce in RI .. they had the hammerhead 7"'s, some random freak puke LP's (i got a mackie! :D), the 1983 CDs and the 10", and some shirts. walsby had a sign that said "this is all we have, despite what you read on the internet."

I am grateful ShoxOp had that giant Melvins Merch night on Sunday so I am not stressed out at all about tonight.
Also, I spent most of my spare cash that night too so there isnt much left! haha
I was hoping I would be able to get stuff from Shoxop as I tend to be pretty lucky with that stuff. I was watching Om in London when everything went on sale. Om was awesome but I was pretty gutted when I got home and found out what I'd missed...
Anyway... If anyone can pick me up a Bulls & Bees 10", 1983 10" and one of those cool Freak Puke t-shirts and post the lot to England I will be eternally grateful! I can pay for stuff and shipping through Paypal straight away.
Also, I still don't have the regular Scion edition Bulls & Bees CD (one of only 3 Melvins CDs I don't have) so if anyone has a spare they can send to a loving home for a few dollars + shipping that would be real cool too.
So yeah, long shot, but if anyone can help with either of these it would entirely restore all my faith in humankind and generally enrich my life.

I think as of right now, merch is pretty thin on the ground. Have a look at the individual show reviews; I seem to remember everyone waiting for a top-up at the moment. I'm sure it'll come, at least with some fresh shirts and maybe some more letterpress CDs.

i have a feeling the CA show will have a nice stock. well im hopping. they live in LA and mackies letterpress is in LA so i would assume that there could be some stuff. these are just my hopes and lately my dreams. i know im not the only one that dreams of melvins merch tables. last year on the melvins lite mini tour they said they had TBSM LPs for the shows and the night before i a dream i got both copies and a letterpress box set. then i woke up and was stoked all day but low and behold all that was there was sugar daddy CDs. amazing show none the less. blew my mind.
