Title: cannot believe
Post by: John Schuller on September 11, 2012, 11:14:15 AM
I simply cannot believe that there is really a DEBATE about Metallica vs. Melvins here: http://www.webofmimicry.com/wom2/index.php?topic=19952.0 (http://www.webofmimicry.com/wom2/index.php?topic=19952.0)

Good reading for a good laugh.

BTW - the mimicry board is pretty cool.

I can't believe that I just wasted moments of my life reading that..

"Can you please explain to me why you don't think the Melvins should call it quits after however long it's been since they've evolved creatively in any manner or expressed anything remotely meaningful or interesting in their artistic output?  What's the point of having them around anymore?  It's not like they're some enormous band making bank off rehashing the same old shit endlessly.  At least when Metallica started sucking they were fucking serious about how much they were gonna suck, and now at least have comedic value."

this alone made it worth my time.

For what it was, the Black album is good too and I defy anyone to find a better recorded/produced album. It sounds perfect.

I'm glad you said it that way round, cos for me songwise "And Justice For All" I think has the best songs on it but I think the production is the worst on any Metallica album...the drums sound like someone hitting a piece of paper with a carpet slipper (I know cos I've tried!)

I'm a Kill Em All fan myself.. Love the Loose Thrashyness of it

Whiplash is the definitive Metallica song for me

Yes that is Dave Mustane on guitar

metallica is a company, not a band.
if metallic breaks up then hundreds of people will be out of a job.
