I went to the Little Rock show on October 17th (or 16th, can't remember), and it was pretty freaking incredible! That night will seriously be etched into my brain forever, my favorite moments were in the very beginning, where they played an extended version of Eye Flys, and when the drums kicked in I completely lost my mind. Also at the ending, Dale stayed on stage and jammed in this really weird time signature for about 5 minutes, threw the sticks behind him and left, that was really incredible. :D
Also, this is what I made the thread for, a few months before the show, my sister made crocheted versions of Melvins Lite, and we took them to the show. As we got out of the car and crossed the street to the venue, my sister spotted Buzz across the street so we approached him and talked for a minute or so, and showed him the dolls. He absolutely loved his, when we asked him for a photo he said "Yeah! But only if I get to hold the doll!"

You can't see it in this one, but he signed a little index card we had attached to the arm.
It was a cool night, the only thing I'll ever forget about it is the exact date. :P
Little Rock was on the 17th!
Your sister is talented.
Thanks! And yeah, she's actually pretty freaking good with that knitting and crochet stuff, she's been doing it for a few years now and she always seems to make these weird creations. My Melvins dolls are the best though, of course. :P She made that hat she's wearing in the picture too, while we were talking to Buzz he said "So I assume you made that hat, too, right?" "Hehehehe, yeah!" (She has the biggest crush imaginable on this man, so she had the giggles the whole time) "And do those glasses work too?" "No." "*cue Buzzo laugh*"
By the way, was anyone else here at this show?
Is your name Ricky?
Is that an Arkansas joke, good sir? :P I actually wasn't born or raised here. West coast all the way, baby!
Nah, about 18 months ago buzz and dale did a video q n a thing and this fucking guy from Arkansas kept getting booted.
Oh wow, is there a link to the video?
(also, for whatever it's worth, my name is Jaryd. :P )
I dunno, butthole man probably has it. I have at least two reasons to not track it down.
I'm Jared, which is like your name but spelled right :P
Hah, I'll just sit and wait here to see if Mr. Buttholeman has anything to say about this. :P
And hey, it wasn't me who had a strange affinity for the letter "Y"!

Hey, cool man! I was able to get up fairly close to the stage on the right side while they played. I was partially deaf for the rest of that night (got home at about 2AM, went to bed at 3) and had ringing in my ears all day the next day. :D Also, that next morning I dropped the biggest loaf imagineable. I like to think it was because of the show.
Yo man, do you play in a band? LR is full of metal but it'd be pretty great to know of another that is Melvins-influenced.

We've actually had quite a few people wanting some and some have even offered to buy them (someone even offered to buy my Buzzo, including my signed card. No way suckah!) but what I don't think alot of people realize is that really it's a pain to make. I know that Buzz took about three weeks to make, two of those weeks were spent just on the afro!
That reminds me, I mentioned that to him. He wanted to look at it and when he said "Oh you got my hair right!" I said "Yeah, it took us two weeks to make just your afro alone." "Yeah... I've been working on mine alot longer than that." :P
Buzz always has good retorts :)
Awesome thread

sounded Like Buzzo Wanted one too!
I would have, I mean, isn't it any rock-star's dream to have a doll made in their likeness? :P
(We actually had another idea for Melvins dolls that look like zombies. We're definitely going to be experimenting with that.)
very awesome.
i too want one. so cool!
