indeed.  its "Bang My Head".  that is the best piece of video music i have ever laid eyes on.  it is one of my favorite melvins tunes, and seeing them so young and so knowledgeable about what is good music at that time amazes me each time...

i don't think they are lip synching...i think the timing is off on some of the editing.  because on some parts it is right on (dale's drumming), and sometimes he hits the snare when there is a bass kick.  if it were a hair of a second off-beat, it could seem fake.  i have faith.

You guys make me want to spend my money on the salad DVD.I have nothing from the Melvins on VHS or DVD but I guess some money will have to come out of my pocket in a near future. It looks like it's a great footage. :)

They didn't have the original mastertape so they restored it from a videotape. I have it but it's the same lousy quality. It's a compilation called "Hoop Skirt/Loop Yarn" and was released on the same label that released the Salad video.

Jo is really a nice guy. He's the one that sent me that Hoop Skirt/Loop Yarn video. And a lot of other nice stuff as well. The video also has some live MR EPP - now, THAT'S a weird band!

I'm afraid I don't have the facilities to copy video tapes yet. Hopefully I will soon. I got this SPBT video called "Fruites des Sept Liquers" on Box Dog, a video of SPBT and Melvins when they played Copenhagen in '91 (w/ Lori on bass) and the "Hoop Skirt/Loop Yarn" video comp that has the video for Sverve by SPBT as well as Melvins and Mr. Epp (+ a lot more).
I also just recent received a live SPBT CD from their '02 performance at "Beyond the Pale".

Well, that's what I was thinking at first as well. But at the end of the song - 2.42 or 3.42, I forgot which minute - you can hear Buzz growling when he's not even close to the microphone.

Unfortunately, I think the OP is right.
