We do not live in a universe where King Buzzo is going to ever be on the cover of Guitar World. It is most likely A. Jimi Hendrix B. Eric Clapton C. Jimmy Page or some other "issue selling" artist that get chumps to buy that rag.

Jeff Hanneman is on the cover, it's the Dear Guitar Hero section where readers ask Buzzo questions. I have the mag and I'll try to post the pics tomorrow.

But "The Melvins" is on the cover. Under The Stooges and Deep Purple no less.

The Stooges
Deep Purple
The Melvins

That's the big time.

Thanks.

Hmmm, that's weird. We'll look into the problem.

Photobucket works pretty well for sharing photos here. It'll have an embedded IMG code that you can just copy and paste. Thanks!

I have no idea how Buzz can keep answering questions about Cobain.
It's probably a small price to pay for being able to do exactly what you want, every day of the week. I think I could cope!

You got a point. It's just such a boring read when he has to answer the same question he has already answered a million times over.

Only to us Melvins super fans.  Most people have never heard of them and they're getting some free publicity with the Nirvana and Tool connection.

Actually, it proves to me that most of the mainstream media only thinks about BIG MONEY and they don't consider the band as a reliable source of $$$$ since Melvins' catalog is too "weird" for most people's taste.

It took me about 6 years of actively seeking out new, cool music to finally hear of the Melvins and want to buy one of their albums.  There are tons of bands out there and it's tough to filter out the bullshit sometimes.

There are already a lot of Nirvana and Tool fans here.  It would be nice if I could read a Tool thread and the majority of posts aren't bitching about the band for once.

True. But blaming it on the media doesn't fully explain it. The mainstream media is not as powerfull as it used to be due to internet accessibility to anyone with an opinion and a computer. I mean....who the fuck still reads a review nowadays in a newspaper...if you would even consider buying one? And we are talking about a band that is active now for more than THIRTY fucking years.
Nope, most people are just addicted to what they are used to hear. Relying on a label on a pot of jam which tells them at what time of year to enjoy what they bought and what to think of it when eating. People....dependent sheep with a fear of the unknown and unfamiliar. Lazy idiots.

Buzz, being "The Melvins" is looking waaay out into the future. The man is smart. I know I will be seing some incarnation of The Melvins in the next 10, 20, 30+ years.  BUT; It will still kick my fucking ass every time! He is, after all, KING BUZZO!!!

I wish every college stoner who ever completely missed the point of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (which is pretty much all of them) would read Buzz's comment about Hunter S. Thompson's work in the last 30 years of his life.

I met college stoners older than me in their late 20s at the time, 13 years ago, who never heard of Primus. and I was shocked and annoyed.
