Been ages since I've posted, but pop in from time to time to lurk!
This was great for the reveal of the special release vinyl alone. I would love to see more footage. Those releases are truly beautiful!! Wish I owned some.
I thought you asked some good questions, possibly ones they had never been asked about Vancouver memories. Kudos.
Having said that I must admit I felt slightly nervous watching and listening to the interview. I felt like the conversation needed to breathe a bit. You seemed to try to talk over the guys in order to get to the next question. Nerves possibly?? Or maybe a time restraint that you were under to get the interview done??
I'm no professional on the subject of interviews, nor do I claim I could do any better than what was done. I also have never seen you interview any other band. So take my criticism for what it's worth. I just know what I feel and I felt a bit anxious.
Nevertheless, thank you! And I'm looking forward to see how they answer the next set of questions.

Cool! are you the owner of Neptoon Records? I friend of mine who is working right now in Vancouver told me he found at least two copies of Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger double CD set in stock at Neptoon but he's too busy to buy and send one to me in Chile.
Nice Melvins vinyl collection, by the way.

Love the feedback man. I totally agree that anxiety and nerves are totally a part of the interviews I do. I'm just a guy, a music fan, with no prior interviewing, editing, reporting skills. I just had an idea and have been running with it since March. I will try to work on the talking over the guys, but yeah, time limit is on my mind for sure! Thanks for viewing, stay tuned!

Now knowing that, I think you did a helluva job. Thanks for taking the time to do it. And I honestly meant no disrespect, just wanted to give my 2 cents.

No dude, none taken. I'm not a journalist. I'm just a dude that created a hobby for himself to give my true passion in life an outlet. If this were my bread and butter, I'd be in trouble! But it isn't so, there is absolutely no pressure at all. But I'm a huge Nirvana fan, I was 11 in 1991, right into music then too. Knowing the Melvins history with that band, I was sharting bricks for a few days before, but then the day comes around and I'm just like "fuck it". And you get what we see in that interview.
Anyways....part 2 coming up, no hints!
Having a female video cam operator was a wise move. 8)
Is it ready yet?
awesome!
thanks a lot man
Enjoy guys.

I've seen them do the spiel about vinyl several times now and it never gets old. They are right, as a medium for listening to music, vinyl blows! BTW: now is a good time to unload your old records because top dollar is being paid.
Ha, Grim gets a shoutout.
That was, what, two questions asked by the boardies? Sheesh.
Bummer, I was hoping for the south american tour question, oh well..

It was more than that. If you need to have MORE questions asked - set up your own interview with the Melvins?

So you should be all set then right?
Since when do beggars become choosers?
Here are your questions and the answers:
I want to know what's up with Porn (The Men of).Ask Tim Moss? He is the bandleader.
Did Billy Anderson really flee move to South America?Billy lives in Portland.
Also, we need names of the guest bassists for the upcoming series of of EPs! Will it be original material, or more covers? If the latter, what will they be covering?Jeeeeeeez - you REALLY need to know this? We already know Krist Novoselic. We also know that an EPs worth of Butthole Surfers covers were recorded with Pinkus on tour. Other obvious guesses would be Kevin Rutmanis and Trevor Dunn. Just let the boys plan their future and quit bitching about a gift that you were given. The guy that did the interview is not SPIN magazine or Rolling Stone.
Again - just ASK these people. They are ALL pretty damn approachable and really nice.
Well, since you seem to have all the answers, maybe I should just interview you?
First question: Are the melvins paying you to speak on their behalf? Or are you in it for the love?
Followup: Did that bug crawl up your ass recently, or have you always been so easy to get along with?

Exactly! Fuck yeah - Honky ruled the Redwood Bar tonight.
Give us a review!
They played the same set as they did on tour - Bobby was all smiles - Pinkus was loaded and ready to destroy - Dale was up close and personal! The show was at the Redwood which is a TINY and I mean TINY fucking place. With a nautical theme. A lot of the between song banter focused on the Redwood forest, playing the cruise ship called the Redwood and sharing sips of Jim Beam on the rocks - and getting more Jim Beams on the rocks. One other bit of banter that was great was that they kept saying "The Melvins are up next". It was great to see Honky four times this month. A serious rock and roll machine that takes no prisoners. The world needs more Honkys.

Sounds like a natural Honky set. With Honky-isms...We need more Whiskey in the monitors. Handsome Joel's 2 favorate things: Pluggs, Muggs, and Juggs. Shootin' speed with the guy from Creed.
