Songkick are putting it about that Melvins will be in Esch-sur-Alzette on 1st February, 2014. This is bollocks and it appears they don't know their Melvins from their Melanie de Biasio.

We should call it the 'drop' for a few years to even things up. Or the 'descender'.

Besides the Buzz Acoustic, are there any chances of anything happening in Europe during this year? Shouldn`t it be out already or does announcements like that come a month or more before it kicks off?
Little news about upcoming shows lately, I know there has been rumours about a scandinavian tour (I have a source who has told me there has been work on that), plus some of the rest of Europe to the autumn, but I guess that we would have heard something about that already if it were settled.

Yeah, Fishbone too. They're an amazing live band.
A good friend of mine just quit MarchFourth Marching Band (last band listed on the flyer) and he's bummed about missing this fest.
Bands I'd be on board on seeing of this festival judging by that flyer from up to down:
Outkast (Ehhh, why not?)
Slayer... I think.
Death From Above 1979 (Since when did they reunite?)
Trombone Shorty
Melvins
Fishbone
...And then it gets hazy from there.
Shit not even that. Melvins and dfa. Maybe fishbone.
Seen Slayer many times over the years. First time was pretty much at the peak of their output on the Clash Of The Titans tour (with Anthrax, Megadeth and a young Alice In Chains opening) back in '91. Saw them a few times in the early 2000's and they didn't sound all that great. Last time I caught them was a few years ago with Megadeth and Testament. I swear that Grandpa Tom having neck surgery somehow revitalized his vocal cords because he was hitting some of the highs that he hadn't been able to pull off since the old days. Jeff not being there is a bummer but Gary Holt is a pretty damn good substitute.
Seen Fishbone once and they were a lot of fun but that was 20 years ago....
I'm actually a pretty big Foo Fighters fan (sorry?) but I've never seen them.
Just recieved an email from Seetickets saying Buzz's Bristol gig (at Motion) has been cancelled. Hopefully this will be rescheduled at Gareth's.

I don't think I could ever get sick of hearing that one live but you're right. It has become the "Bootlicker" of the set these days.
I'm wondering why the Melvins would end the tour in Birmingham, Alabama? The drive back to LA from there is a 2028 mile journey according to Google. Sure, some cities on the way back have already been played but I'm wondering about more dates before X-mas on the East coast. :-k Maybe they want to avoid bad road conditions.
