The CD in the back of Neither Here Nor There is kind of a greatest hit compilation with short samples from some releases. Do you think the music CD included merits a collectors run on letterpress? I bet there's newer fans that would like a copy.

I bought a signed hard copy and left it at the Pancake House in SeaTac after the show. alchocol was a factor. Ended up going back and retrieving it. Back then my kids were little and I didn't want them to see some of the images in Neither Here Nor There, the fisting to be precise, so I put it on a book shelf where they couldn't get to it. Haven't revisited that CD in a long time.

Not melvins sanctioned, so no can do, chief.

I got the book(with CD) when it was first released and my copy has shown no signs of wear. Guess I'm just shittin' in high cotton on this one!

i've heard they fall apart easily.
do you have the hard or soft cover?
always wanted one for myself.

so there is my answer.
i'd rather have the book (even reissued or whatnot)
than a letterpress of the c.d.

My book and cd are still in perfect condition, but that glue they used back there....

P.S. The cardboard used for the cover is kind of shitty. Mine was warped a little when I got it, still is but it's not that bad. Haven't opened it much since I heard people's pages were falling out. Wish I would've got the soft cover too, probably easier to flip through without damaging the binding.

I was wondering about that too. Don't remember that. My luck, I'll go look through there to try to find it and all the pages will start falling out.

Yes there is. I haven't seen one of these books that doesn't naturally fall open at the appropriate page.

I'm trying this tonight. I'm gonna toss it up in the air and see where it lands. If it lands fisting side up, new Melvins is on the way; if it lands fisting side down then one of Buzz's strings breaks.

yes there is fisting within those pages ...

I have both the hard and soft cover editions ...

binding is monumentally suck on both ... that sucks.

Great book though ... lots of purdy and disturbing imagery throughout ... lots of interesting, hilarious and just flat out WTF text and babble ... and yeah, fisting too ... can't go wrong with all those.

As for the cd? Meh, I had everything up to that release so it was nothing I didn't already own and/or was readily available for purchase. So yeah, cd was ya know, whatever ... I've never even listened to it.

As a stand alone cd, it has some great songs which would make it a good taster for the underdeveloped Melfan.  The Fool, With Teeth, manky, the Joe Night Goat, Hog Leg, ... it's all good stuff.  Say goodbye to the radio.

That CD's main value to me is that it contains an official copy of the Joe Night Goat.

Mount, did/do you have the original Melvins 'Demos' CD bootleg on Piss Boner? Just curious, as I've never seen one and I'd like a copy.

My cd got gouged right after I listened to it. Otherwise, I've per used the book, but haven't got past pg 82.

Occasionally you see the CD only for a small amount of $$ on eBay.

Ehhh, nah.  It was a great career spanning album at the time, and it's especially funny that only hardcore fans would probably end up with the cd anyway, but it's missing too many songs to be considered career spanning these days.
