Title: Melvins and Big Business
Post by: Jarjaxle on July 31, 2014, 12:18:51 PM
Simple Question:
Are Cody and Jarred still in the Melvins?
Will we see any more releases of the Two Fro\Two Drummer line up?
Will we see any more tours with a BB\Melvin line up?

Melvins have more than one line up...these guys work hard...they cannot depend on a single musician

Pretty sure they're depending on at least two musicians.

Yep! I wouldn't sweat it, Buzz has gone on record saying that the
'Melvins' is "him and Dale and whoever they happen to play and record
with" at any given moment.

As long as it has Buzz and Dale on it, I'm a happy listener. I'm still holding out
for their album with Bootsy on bass though! Now that would be killer!

Supposedly Jared is on paternity leave.

Bah! That kid was born almost 8 months ago! I think it has more to do
with Big Biz recording 2 new albums and touring, etc,

if it fits into Buzz's schedule we will definitely get another
Big Melvins album and tour for sure!!!!!!

Agreed 100%. His paternity leave is over. They're busting ass on some Big Biz stuff right now but I guarantee we haven't seen the last of the Coady and Jared as Melvins members, which is a-okay with me!

i'm sure there will be a new album with them in the future. i meant Buzz can do whatever he wants. quality is always great,he's the main songwriter. and honestly Crover can do his job pretty well

In a recent interview Buzz mentioned that the bassists are Steve, Pinkus and that Jared "isn't out". So i wonder - do you think we will see the Big Melvins version of the band again at some point? It would be interesting if they had a 3-piece Buzz, Dale, Jared line-up. I know the band has played with Coady and with Pinkus instead of Jared before but i don't think it has ever happened JUST with Jared.

mmmh, i doubt they could play with Jared without Coady. oh well, being Coady super busy lately.. who knows?

i'm sure they played with just Jared as trio only one time  :nerd:

Big Business 'Live at the Crocodile' was just pulled from sale on Vimeo. Vimeo sent a message that those who purchased have a few days to save the file before it becomes permanently unavailable. Weird. I wonder what's up.

If this were a rights issue I don't think there'd be this grace period to download it.

I don't know much about Vimeo at all but I know it's not that uncommon for artists generally of the smaller indie variety to sometimes pull their releases on Bandcamp, in fact I think Mark Deutrom does it on there quite regularly.
