Title: Portland - October 19
Post by: GiveMe45 on October 19, 2014, 07:28:38 PM
Just about to have a quick bite and then throw my ass in the shower so I can start making my way downtown.

I've done this around 20ish times and it never gets old.  During the day of a Melvins show I get just as exited as a little kid who is just about to go to Disneyland for the first time.

Le Bucherettes killed!  One of the best opening bands I've seen open for the Melvins.  Really glad I caught their whole set.

Stand outs for me from the Melvins set:
Moving to Florida
Bride of Crankenstein
Youth of America   (I think this is the first time I've seen them play this live since 2004)

Would have been nice to have had a couple more songs off the new album, but hey, any Melvins is good Melvins.
I really hope they can get Paul Leary to tour with them at some point so they give the new material its proper due.

For me and my seven guests this was a wonderful show......some guy who saw the showbox show and others said  sound sound was very good.  Just too short. Opening band's drummer was amazing.
