I had problems with my account there last night; Flutter's right - one email and five minutes later everything was right as rain.
Thanks for the heads up on this! Purchased!
This is 3 of my favorite things rolled up into one. Thank you Dumb Numbers and Joyful Noise.

I have absolutely no answers for you on this item.
I didn't order it. Anything handcrafted and featuring the name David Yow and I automatically assume it's a cat book. :D
I dreamed I saw Jack Nance last night is a killer tune.
Any reviews specifically of the Melvins tunes? Google doesn't know much about "Looking Forlorn In All The Wrong Places," "Harvel," or "Polish Trash Compactor" yet.

I can put in my two cents.
Looking Forlorn In All The Wrong Places is a
Dumb Numbers tune.
It's a dark ambient number with ominous string section, some rustling noises and moans that reminded me of the Butthole Surfers' "Hay".
It's a pretty good track.
Harvel is a collaborative song by
Dumb Numbers & Melvins.
It's great. It features that really cool fuzzy droney guitar tone that almost sounds like a synthesizer, high-pitched howling from Buzz and some very distorted vocals at the end a la Cow.
The melody's great, and it's got a mood that I really like and is really hard to describe. Kinda melancholic and upbeat at the same time.
It doesn't sound typical for the Melvins and it's really good.
Polish Trash Compactor is
Melvins only, and it's actually the ending from Freak Puke with some added effects.
I'm not saying it sounds similar to it – I mean it's
literally the outro from Freak Puke played backwards with additional cymbal/wind/howl effects.
Pretty disappointing, because we've already heard it. The alterations on this track don't really make any difference.

What a great tune and it really does conjure up that Twin Peaks vibe and I think it's pretty interesting how they wrote it.

Melvins tracks have really grown on me. They definitely are not what I was expecting (current era harmony infused avant garde art metal) they may have been playing to Lynch's sensibilities a little. Why not though, Buzzo likes Lynch and they may be the only chance for him to hear their stuff. I would love for some Lynch melvins collaborations to spawn from this. If you wanna know if I think the three melvins tunes are worth $80... nope but this is a bridge between two obsessions, where do I put it though? Lynch collection Melvins collection... Or right smack betwixt the two!
cool. nice collaboration.

they are currently packing them up and shipping it out, so i assume we should all get a notice within this week.
I got mine today. Oh man. Very nice indeed. Not much on the individual sleeve art. Kinda lackluster. But the black and gold vinyl is pretty cool and the box that houses the 3 10"s is very cool as well. It will definitely keep the records nice and safe. Now I'm just waiting for the 51 in 51 DVD and my early xmas will be complete.
Mine's travelled from Indianapolis to the UK via Charlotte and Miami. My question is, why didn't it go via Chicago instead?
