Yes and yes. Never been a Redd Kross fan, so wasn't sure about Steve MacDonald, but he was a pretty good fit. After last November's blasting show at the Electric Ballroom, this was a little lighter...but just a little. MacDonald certainly held his own on stuff like 'Eye Flys' & 'Night Goat'.

I must admit that it probably wasn't the best I've seen them live but really no complaints.
I flew to London on Thursday with 3 of my best friends and stayed until Monday. We wandered around the city, relaxed in various parks, visited some tourists traps, but mainly ate and drank excessively... Great times :)
On Sunday we got to Camden about 20 min before the band got on stage. Koko is a pretty sweet club with a couple of balconies and terraces, but IMO the sound wasn't great.
Dale was awesome as usual. I'm really hypnotised when I watch him play and can watch him for hours. As I've written before, I do feel that he plays harder and better as a solo drummer. The man is a beast! Buzz comes to work every night and steven was pretty cool too.
The downsides for me were the sound system at the club and the setlist. I was standing in the front on the left hand side of the stage and during parts of the show I was struggling to hear buzz's guitar and steven's vocals coherently.
The setlist was comprised of mainly old stuff (Euthanasia, with yo heart / leeeeech, eye flys), some covers (kiss, redd kros, alice cooper), and relatively new stuff off The Bulls, Freak Puke, Basses Loaded, Bride, and Hold It In. For some, I Imagine, a dream setlist but I personally would have preferred more songs from other albums. Having said that, I understand that it is almost impossible for a band with such a vast catalog to hit everyone's taste on every tour... the highlight for me was Halo Of Flies for sure.
So all in all a great weekend... can't really go wrong with spending a weekend with your best buddies and watching your favorite band :)

i've always thought Buzz sound isn't as good as it used to be

I'm with you, Stallion. Les Paul > EGC as unpopular as that may be.
I wish we could get scientific proof on this. Buzz seems adamant that there is no difference in sound whatsoever while the fans say otherwise. I'd love to have this issue settled once and for all!!
Ian, you love to write. Write us up a grant proposal, we'll buy an EGC and a les paul, get a board meetup going, and settle this shit.
My hypothesis still stands.
There is a difference between the two guitars, soundwise. But it's also the way that they've been eq'ing the guitar sound in the band. I'd invite anyone complaining about this to go follow one of the millions of bands who do play the 'bag o cement', aka the Les Paul.

he will never admit that ,no way :lol:
Who cares about what instrument they play on, only feinschmeckers do that. Buzz is for me a guitar wizard, in his own style, what kind of guitar means fuck all.

is he still using solid state? That will flatten out tone any day.
