Im not 100% certain on a few of these songs but that list is a hell of a lot. Understandable in some cases like the Kunka tracks or covers etc. Im not sure on the albums pre-(A)SA either so i guess there are some other tracks that have never been performed too. Perhaps ones off of Stag, Honky and The Crybaby i guess. Since Lysol, Stoner Witch, Houdini and Bullhead have all had airings. Some of the songs below are really good and i wish they would play them. What songs do you wish you could see live?

Yes. Rotate the crops already!
How awesome would it be to hear The Bunk Up, I'll Finish You Off, City Dump, Hospital Up, Beer Hippie or The Savage Hippy. Those ones would be fantastic to hear live renditions of! Certainly my pick of the bunch anyway.

I think once a song has been played all over the world, retire it for 5 years. The catalogue is too huge to ignore so much of it.
They've reduced many recent albums to pretty much one song.
Hold It In - Bride Of Crankenstein
Tres Carbrones - Fascists Eat Donuts
Freak Puke - A Growing Disgust
TBSM - Water Glass
Bulls And Bees - We Are All Doomed
Nude With Boots - The Kicking Machine
.....

Yes, i've noticed that too. Pretty much the same goes with Basses Loaded so far also. It will be interesting to see if Planet Destructo gets a debut whenever Melvins Lite reappear.

Opps. I don't even recall seeing that thread and yet it's only a little over two weeks old!! My memory must be severely failing.
I'd love to hear Black Santa
I saw city dump live in 2013. 8)

Again, Ian has stolen my thread idea, use the original!

Are you sure? I've never seen it on a setlist or live clip etc. Im not saying you are wrong but it's definitely not been performed much at all if it has.

Witnessed it live in 2013, so did Jules. Tail end of the Big Belvins.
They played it for like one or two shows, then it got thrown off the setlist. There isn't even a recording of it.
So that doesn't really count for much :(
The only reason I can assume why doesn't Tres Cabrones get played live is because they probably only want to do it with Dillard.
That, and Buzz's wife didn't like it. (Although that didn't stop them from recording Beer Hippy later.)
I don't know what's going on really.
But it's such a shame these songs are not getting a live perfomance.
Le sigh...

I think you may have that muddled. At the time, i remember Buzz saying that Mackie thought it was their best album yet! Goodness knows why.

Quote from: https://noisey.vice.com/en_us/article/6473pr/the-melvins-dr-mule-stream-songMy wife says it's her favorite record of ours because it's simpler. That's what she thinks. I dont know if she's a good judge.
Oh, you're right. For some reason I remembered him saying she said it was the worst one yet
Then...
what's the deal, Buzz?!Seriously, someone should ask him why.
It's been 5 years since that album. Crazy.
I could see "Hot Fish" getting added to the setlist. I wish deeply for "Black Sabbath" live.
I wonder which of the 'Working With God' songs will (potentially at some future point) be performed live. So far only 'Good Night Sweetheart' has had an airing a good few years ago back with the Big Business guys. I hope this album doesn't get overlooked in a live sense when shows restart.

Are you sure? I know it is something they had in their back pocket as it were for many years. I think they said they messed around with it or maybe performed some of it at sound checks back in the mid to late 90's. But i don't recall it being part of a live set at any time. Although i could well be wrong.

No I guess I'm not sure. Haha. I thought they played it in the mid nineties with Mark when they did the show with three sets. Good job on the list tho-I wish they would cull some of the material for their live sets!

that's correct moose!
I'm pretty sure "Planet Destructo" is the untitled live instrumental from Barbaraal or another rare 90s vinyl only release. Its a different arrangement with Trevor, but the bones of the song are there.

It's side 2 of the Barbaraal single right enough. I thought they played it during the Autumn 1996 European tour, maybe during the first part where Buzz was playing bass and Mark guitar.
