First song sounds good.
Thanks for the scoop, score.
I didn't even know my favorite guitar player in the world even had this coming out!
I usually only have nightmares when I actually dream, but one time I had a really fucking great dream, I had a dream that Paul Leary moved next-door to my house, and that this was going to be his headquarters. I found out they moved there because they (all of the Butthole Surfers )were playing with my dogs, and they were just having a blast, then we started talking about music and we went inside the house and we were talking about how we were going to record, and then my dog started barking, and he was like "fuck it I'm not living in this fucking shit hole." It was so vivid and real and weird, and funny as hell, I woke up actually smiling instead of being in a fetal position sweating..
TEXAS IS THE REASON
Good news!
What you wrote about your dream reminds the best album I've ever heard: it was a Butthole Surfers album I heard in a dream I had. Every music in the world were mixed together so well, so brilliant and so funny! The best thing I've ever heard! It was supposed to be "Electriclarryland" but it was way better than in real life.
Electriclarrydreamland? I also had a dream one time during the Melvin stag years that buzzo was dressed in a mumu type thing and he was wearing a crown...... about three years before the actual muumuus hit...

I forgot, when I actually first woke up from that dream I was super mad in my imaginary dream dogs for barking and screwin it all up...then I realized it was a dream, then I was Smiling
It's great that Kramer's woken up and put this out on Shimmy Disc, too. One of the all time great labels. Here's Leary, Kramer & Co. in Holland in 1985.

Three's company. All of it, not just the Surfers shit, but that Surfers shit was pretty great. Awesome tales! Thanx!
I'm curious to hear the rest of the album. How much of it has that vocal effect (not a fan). The song writing is excellent and the combination of that western guitar lead and the backing vocals is delicious.
I still can't help thinking if the whole album has this sound and tempo, I'd probably not return to listen much.
Yeah his voice is not really like that that's that vocoder thing, I am almost positive he's actually doing the high stuff too, because he has a very high voice, he's a weirdo dude, so this album is going to be weird, I know I actually listened to it for two days straight and nothing else, at the time I was really relating to the song. I'm very interested to hear it too I've got a couple of the red vinyl copies coming, I will check it out and I will give you a review
Here is another song. It sounds really great.

Oh hell yeah. Alright, I'm all in now.
Man, I am so glad he is making this music and even these videos, because I'll never need to take acid again. Stoked. Thanks for finding this... i'm gonna curl up in a fetal position, grab my teddy bear and try to go to sleep...
I think it was a rover who said it is like a children's record for adults.

that's right up my alley, doomed to eternal immaturity... I cannot wait to get weird with this one... this new song that Jules just posted is crazy, it trips me out, kind of scares me, man I am excited...
Born Stupid reminds me of somewhere between Bob Fryfogle and Sanford Clark.

What are you gonna do? is the nightmarish polar opposite.
The History of Dogs is a beautifully warped album. I've been waiting for it's follow up for 30 years. I hope it hasn't been too long. so far so good.
album ordered.. btw. I did not get first pressing. sonofabitch.

What's next on the docket for you?
Quote"I'm already starting to work on another solo album. I've also got another band called the Cocky Bitches. We put out an album a couple years ago, on a tiny label called Slope, out of Arizona. I was proud of it, so we're making another. I'm hoping to have something by the end of the year."
