I'm very excited for this tour. In the interview with Al Jourgenson, buzz says they only played one show in two years. That's insane for the melvins!

Tried to post a picture but I can't figure out how to do it on here haha. According to the merch_report Instagram page they only have one shirt. Bummer. But...it will be the least amount I've ever spent at a Melvin's show.

Some venues want to take a cut of the merch and Melvins don't play that.
That shirt would be $25-$30 tops at Ottobar(Baltimore).
I'm really hoping the show this Sunday, (Baltimore SoundStage) has some bad ass Haze & Mackie
Art editions 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

You mean Columbus? Cleveland show hasn't happened yet. I've wanted that See You In Hell shirt for awhile now. Not sure about $40 for it though. I just got in the mail today the Haze art "Melvins 83" shirt from BiFocal Media. Pretty fuckin' cool. Another new year, another new Melvins shirt. :D

Any expanded merch selections at the other shows or still just the one shirt?

Mackie was on the newest episode of the Vinyl Guide podcast today and said that they don't get to use their own merch guy on this tour (no Walsby?) and they're just not comfortable with someone else handling all the fancy stuff so it's just the one shirt.  She also mentioned that Melvins have 2 tours of their own coming up afterwards and there will be all sorts of new letterpress editions and other stuff

That's good news. I suspected there would be at least one BIG tour from the Melvins after this one.

The episode itself was about Tool's new vinyl releases which I didn't pay a lot of attention to.  She said all of the Melvins stuff at the very end

Ive also been pining for that see you in hell tee for a while can't believe i didn't strike on the longsleeve or tee when available - 40$ Damn that's approaching TooL level merch prices- I guess if that's all they're offering on this tour guess the venues r taking quite a cut hopefully Melvins are making some profit off that too but still f inflation

Hopefully an Australian tour is in the works now that we're back open to international touring bands. I almost bought a ticket to this upcoming weekend's Under the Southern Stars festival with Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Cheap trick and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club purely for nostalgic reasons I haven't seen an international band live since Cradle of Filth in 2019.

I haven't seen any bands live since Nov 2019 when I saw Slayer, Primus, Ministry and Philtera.  Kinda fitting that this tour will likely be my first show since.

My last actual live show was this one The Mark of Cain in October 2019 but no John Stanier on drums, Eli Green filling in for him did a good job though I loved this Big Black cover they played:

No Melvins merch last night in Buffalo. The 1 shirt is long gone. Awesome show. COC rocked, Melvins killed, Ministry was better than I expected. Supernaut was their highlight.
Most of their fans are real idiots. Reminded me of why I can't stand most popular "metal" crowds.  Caught a few ounces of random beer shower sprayed on the back of my head. What the fuck is with these retards? Beers aint cheap, 10 for a craft on tap, even more for a 16 oz can, and you're gonna throw your beer up in the air? I moved around a few times during Ministry to avoid stumbling, loud drunken assholes.

Why not bring a few of the Ipecac releases on CD to sell and let the venue take a cut? Some poor kid may want a souvenir.

It's amazing we get it just the same here too. Cashed up bogans going to see a heavy band, out of their their minds on drugs & booze and treating the whole show like a party in their own backyard. Knuckleheads should just be kicked out but in this instance security would probably be kicking out a large chunk of the audience.

I'm pretty sure there are rules & politics around what and if anything support bands are allowed to sell at the headlining band's merch table. I've heard venues take a cut on merch and perhaps the headlining band does too which might explain why Melvins were only prepared to bring one style of t-shirt but no records/CD's.

But running out of one shirt makes no sense at all. By not stocking enough, the Melvins are losing out on easy money.
