Surely you pronounce it 'cretins' like us, not 'creetins' like the interviewer?

I say it creeeeeetins
In America it rhymes with sequins. And slant rhymes with treatments, particularly those adhesive veranda types.

Americans pronounce it 'creetins', unlike us who respect the Queen's English ;)
It's fun to hear British people say 'advertisement' and 'schedule'.
Oxford dictionary on google pronounced it 'Creetin' when I click the *sound* sample icon. :?
As a Canadian, I've lived with both Creetins and cretins alike.

Or the spelling. lol 'aluminium'
I've just learned that the American spelling is Aluminum which is why you say it the way you do. We have an extra i and therefore an extra syllable cos we're a complicated lot. So, my bad, as you were!

I've been listening to it for a few years. I don't catch every episode but the ones I do are always a good listen, and this one has been fun (I'm only half way thru so far)
Is there any sneak peek of the EP?

Obviously it's called The VINYL Guide, but i do find when listening it seems the host talks about his own collection a bit too much. Instead of just chatting with the guest he has to constantly bring up their rare vinyl releases, their going price and which he owns. It's not quite bragging but it does come across a little irritating sometimes. Same goes for the relentless Groove Washer product he endlessly promotes. I'm not even sure what that is but after checking out numerous episodes over the years, it annoys me immediately hearing him mention it again.
got mine at Zia Records this morning on the way to work. place was busy and disorganized but found it eventually.

Got mine today! It looks beautiful on white vinyl.
Can't play it until Monday when we get back home. Hopefully it survives the drive back.

So, in conclusion, nobody knows the songs of the EP in order to give a decent review of it... WHAT THE FUCK?!
my turntable isn't hooked up atm but i actually do want to check this out.
Just put it on but this is one of those new things that you don't know if it's 33.3 or 45. At 33 it sounds awesome but the second song really doesn't sound right. I have one of those stupid Pro-Ject turntables that you have to manually adjust the band to change the speed. Just confirmed online it is 45. Will report back soon
Definitely 45 and it's pretty fucking good! You can tell that Buzz's tone is in there but it's not something he wrote. Bunch of Steven bass slides on the second song. Wish it was one of those 70s albums liner notes that told you exactly who did what on each song. I still can't tell if drums have switched between Dale and Matt yet. Matt's vocals are great so far into the third song. Another Steven short noodle toward the end of that one. First song on side 2 starts acoustic with some distorted interjections and then the middle to end is a nice mellow classic rock outro. Last song is fun and bouncy. Thumbs way up! I need to do it again in the morning when I'm awake.

Thanks for the write-up. You appear to be the only person on the internet to have actually listened to it!
