I'm a longtime lurker on here and a VERY infrequent poster. Recently, I cam across the Melvins Wiki entry for:
Gasatanka Records - Teaching Your Bird To Talk (1995)
For those who don't know, it's a comp that features "Forgotten Principles". This fantastic song is not that difficult to find outside of the comp so I'm not concerned about it.
However, looking through the tracklist I saw that there is a Hovercraft song called Intelsat 5. I love Hovercraft just as much as I love the Melvins (if not more), and I had no idea this song even existed.
There are a relatively pricey few (specifically with shipping because I'm in the US) copies available on Discogs.

So, before I blow $25 for a five minutes song, I wanted to check and see if any kind soul on here happens to have this comp that would be willing to help a freeloader out?

i wish i could help you with this but sadly i can't. i did want to ask if you're familiar with the album 2 members of Hovercraft did with Mary Hansen of Stereolab. it's dope!

Also, fun little story: When I was 17 I had just moved to the Dallas area. I happened to see that Hovercraft was playing with the Melvins, Mr. Bungle, and one other band who I don't remember. Since I was under age my Mom had to go with me. Hovercraft played first and to this day is one of my top 3 all-time favorite shows. While they played I happened to look back and Buzz was sitting at the bar. I only knew the Melvins from the documentary Hype!, but I was still pretty star struck.
Anyway, my mom and I didn't care for the band that played after Hovercraft and I missed out on the Melvins. It would be another 13 years before I was musically mature enough to appreciate them and fortunately I have been able to see them twice since that point
