This washed up hack is ruining the Melvins.
I dont think anyone really cares to see Jello Biafra anymore, and I'm sick of seeing his name lumped in with the Melvins. I'd much rather have a 100% Melvins album than a collaboration with a 50 year old punk singer, since they are releasing an EP with even more songs from them.
I wish Buzz would've stuck with what he said in that '95 interview.
we all want that 100% melvins album just as bad as you do,
but the jello album is more about fun, they dont show off
on that record musically except for a couple moments,

was dated before he even sang it though. true on that.

Although I generally prefer 200 proof Melvins, it would seem that they now need some collaboration for inspiration. Like a married couple might have a threesome for variety. It would seem the melvins don't find their "musical monogamy" as interesting as it used to be, so they add somebody else. It's better than them just breaking up.
but i can think of dozens of better choices for them to expand their musicial repoire (?) besides Jello Biafra.

The Jelvins are the only albums I don't own, nor do I care to. I did see them twice in SF (I think they were both on Halloween, I know the first one was for sure). The first show was fucking nuts and a total blast the second show I left halfway through their set. I like Jello as long as he's not singing. The best part of seeing them live was every time Jello would get started on a rant Buzz would turn his guitar on and just start making noise and drowning Jello out as if to say "Shut up and lets just rock!". It worked every time. Jello VS Buzz guitar, I think we all know who wins that battle. :D
