So I'm watching today's game between my beloved White Sox and the Twins on my TiVo and I got quite a shock...
MLB Extra Innings picked up the Twins broadcast of the game. Kent Hrbek, former Twins star, was in attendance and was shown on camera in the "Fan of the Game" segment and who is sitting two seats down from him but the King himself. I was shocked. The first thing I did was check the Fantomas tour schedule, and sure enough they're in Chicago for a show tomomrrow. Announcers Bert Blyleven and Dick Bremer made some snide remarks about Buzzo's appearance.

i can't believe the amazing amount of improbability that went into this... buzz happened to be in chicago, happened to go to the game, happened to sit next to this guy, who the producers of the show happened to pick out to talk about, the announcers happened to be intrigued by buzz (who wouldn't be?) and this guy happened to not only watch the show, but also tape it without knowing buzz would be on it!! [sorry to type "happen" so much]. i think this is a sign that the melvins are the key to the universe.
you could even take it back further and muse over how the guy who taped this decided one day to get a Tivo, because without it, this never would have happened. what influenced that decision? and the ones before it? awesome..
I'm kindof use to buzz's look now, even though when i saw him in person it was much weirded and sureal. But the merchdise seller that I ID'ed was defifnatly more interesting looking fellow at the show.

Buzz went to a Mariners game at Safeco Field the day before the Capitol Hill Block Party. He talked about it during his pre-concert stage banter. He said he had a good time. I will quote it verbatum at some future date.

i have it from King Buzzo himself that the empty seat was just that an empty seat. sitting in front of Buzz is Kurt their soundman (you see the back of his head for a second). sitting next to Kurt, in the front row in front of Mr.Baseball dude, is his family. Buzz said that dude and his family never sat still the whole game and all of them were constantly getting up and getting foods and drinks and whatnots. they're also sitting in really really good seats.
