hey! i have stoner witch & houdini & electroretard, in that order. theyre all fucking mad! me kinda new to the smelvins and i read on here that stoner witch lacks the "experimentalism" or some shit that is "real melvins". so whats a real nitty gritty "purist" melvins album that should i get next? when i first put on houdini it blew my mind. i thought it was a real anti-commercial album, which i loved, and i hadnt heard anything like it so yeh... oh yeh im seeing them in the geek show in 9 days. fuuuck yeah muthafuckers!!!!!! :twisted:

don't listen to any of these loonie wackos! it is obvious that you are a natural born melvins fan, and you can handle the real stuff! you are asking for it even!! you need to get yourself a copy of Gluey Porch Treatments/ozma....that is hardcore sludge dirge (nitty gritty) good stuff man.  yes yes, i agree that bullhead is also a wise choice, and while lysol is fucking amazing, you seem very excited, and it might just not be enough material to quench your need right now.  but definitely put that high on the priority list.  bullhead is damn good, one of my favorites.  maybe that's more important at this stage than GPT.    but gluey porch has sooo many songs! i think that you are fiending after alot of stuff because you really want to check them out, so i say that 32 track monster is the way to go (some are quite short).
Glad to have you aboard the SS Buzz&Co.  they are going to blow you away live! that's what put me over the edge..you are lucky you get to see them live so soon after really discovering them, i had to wait months and months.

Well, electroretard is kinda weird, you won't be put off by anything else they've done now (except maybe COD or prick). Stag or Honky have a good mix of some different "experimental" stuff :)
