Cover of Nuge's Stranglehold live. This has to be one of the best videos I've seen on youtube yet.

What date was that show?
Is that the same concert where Buzz played on 'you lied'?
Fantastic! :D
It's cool that guys from Tool are trying to introduce Melvins to larger audience but I got a feeling that it's lost cause. Most of those people are drunken fratboys, they'll never recognize Buzzo's genius.

I see this more as letting a friend play along.
or playing with one of your greatest influences.
Well, I think they are trying to introduce Melvins to their fans. Hell, they even make lists of books what people should read. And when Melvins was opening for Tool, Maynard came out and gave long introductory speech and asked their fans to keep open minds.
well, I appreciate when people I admire want to show me stuff they think is great.
The Melvins do this too.
"just look in the boook."

This what I thought about TOOL at first to this present moment: "WOW THAT IS SOME COOL SHIT." > "THESE GUYS ARE MY FAVORITE BAND!" > "EH,... OK" > "I DONT CARE ABOUT THIS BAND" > "I DONT LIKE THESE GUYS"

i dont know if it
Bloated Pope has a heavy tool vibe, so does alot of POTRE
Hey norecess, This has nothing to do with the tool collab, but it is good to see another fan of Bardo Pond. They put on some great live shows , i have liked them for a long time . It was also good to see you getting into Fugazi again for a second there with Instrument. That's all, peace.
I agree, cess always has an impeccable currently played =D>
i've got that dvd. i'll check the date.

Fugazi isn't even exactly my favorite band music wise, but I respect them a lot and strangeky enough they are one of the most inspiring bands to me. I should watch Instrument soon again before I'm gonna lend it to a teacher of mine who will love that film, no doubt.
Bardo Pond are playing at ATP this December so I though I'd check out their latest album, I must say it's very good (better than Comets On Fire's Avatar) but much quieter and less psychedelic than I had expected. Maybe I'm listening to Holy Mountain bands too much, haha.

someone hold the closet door all the tool fans are coming out!!!!!!
 if it wasnt for tool i would have never known about the melvins.. both very good bands
If buzz is friends with the guys in tool thats good enough for me. Taste is subjective. If you like em fine. If not who cares. I personally have no great love of tool but they are good musicians and put out what they want. I respect that.
Another cool Buzz moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9DgZoR7Cqs
