I got this CD from GrimReaper in a trade and it fucking
smokes! Dale is like a human battering ram, he just wails
on his kit like a maniac on this CD. It's live and the guitars
are really meaty and in your face too. This band features
Billy Anderson on bass (he's worked on numerous
Melvins albums as a producer/engineer) and this guy has
major skills. All in all it's a great live CD and I'd recommend
you all go out and pick up some Porn, or make a trade
with Grim.
I also got a live show featuring Argonaut and Moss Generator,
which I'll review soon, I just can't stop listening to Porn
right now though!! my first reaction to this was "Holy hell
this is great!!"

I was at that show and it was a lot of fun. Sabala's was an amazing venue for a few good years
They played in Portland at the Stoner Hand Of Doom Fest 6 or 7 months before that. Was a crazy weekend but I think I remember Billy knocking his stack over, either because he was pissed off or fucked up (or both?)

it was just a one-off thing for the melvins curated at edition. thurston moore was there with lydia lunch i think??? i remember watching men of porn and wondering who is this tall goofy looking hipster wearing a tshirt with an undecipharable-black metal logo on bass, but couldn't see his face due to his shoegazing pose, but then at the end I saw his face and of course it was thurston, duh! brent hinds also joined the stage briefly, but he was drunk. it was just one long jam.

I never liked Mastodon, other than a song the drummer sings and in the video they're floating in space cool song that, but Mastodon recently did a headline tour with Kerry King supporting them. If KK did a tour with the Melvins his band would be headlining. Mastodon do pretty well for themselves.
