Wow! This show was quite simply put - amazing! I am still deaf and my ears are still ringing in glorious pain. The show coincidently was also Chunklet

Yow's stage antics are leaning more towards mellow these days by the looks of things.

great picture tedhead.
There are no assholes in California? Interesting. I guess that's one of those places where everyone is cooler than everyone in the rest of the country.
Harvey Milk are Melvins-lite? Harvey Milk aren't anything "lite" . . .
If you got one of the Melvins/Patton Oswald singles I'll trade you a Pigskin/Starve already single from the Juxtapoz show this year for it.
Wish I'd gottent o see Harvey Milk, been listening to the new album constantly. I need to get the Pleaser and the first album.

Harvey Milk a local favorite was up next. Comprised of 4 dudes who slugged down PBR
I think Harvey Milk added one of the dudes from Growing on guitar for this gig, he played with them last week in NY as a warm up show for the Melvins gig.
if you'd seen the scratch acid reunion shows, you wouldn't say that.
my buddy who was at this show said that yow only sat down for the very end of the show.

No, your buddy saw Yow's stand in. Yow's bodyguard looks very similar to him, and often subs in for him on the exhausting choreography moves.
ah, well i cannot vouch for my buddy's perspicacity. i only relay what he told me.
also, in reference to the guy who said something about a song he didn't know, apparently you are correct, it was "chrome" which was performed by the jesus lizard, but is a medley of two chrome songs.... although at the moment i can't recall for certain which... i think 'tv as eyes' and 'abstract nympho' from "half machine lip moves"...

In California we all kinda respect each other at a Melvin
PBR seems to have always been the beer of choice for both the youth-of-nausea and the working class in georgia, where i grew up. also, i have noticed an equal amount of purblind foolishness and knuckle-dragging violence on the west coast (in california, washington, and progressive portland, oregon, where i live now), possibly even more. in general i always found the athens crowds to be nothing less than average, if not generally better-than-average.

I must hang out in the wrong clubs in California, because I can find assholes with no problem.
I remember when PBR was looked down upon, unless you were a farmer in the midwest hanging out in a bar.
When did PBR become trendy?

When did PBR become trendy? And talking about cheap beers, does anyone remember a beer fifteen or so years ago
that had a cartoon bear as their mascot?
Quote
The beer you speak of is HAMMS. "Hamms the beer refreshing, Hamms."
Ha, that's it! Good memory Smellis.

Mmmmmmmmmm Hamms'. One of my best firend's alcoholic mother used to drink gallons of the stuff. She'd hide cans all over the house from her husband, and in high school we'd go on beer hunts. Almost never failed to scrape a case together. They'd be under the couch, behind the cereal, in plants, you name it. Good times.
I posted videos in the Melvins Dicussion. Yow is still crazy!

sheathforever is correct-TV As Eyes and Abstract Nympho.
7x8 was the b-side of the Chrome single and a JL original I believe

it's actually 7 Vs. 8... but yeah, it is a tjl original. a faster, and in my opinion, much better version appeared on their first lp, head.

Good quality audience recording, so hopefully the whole thing shows up.
Hey holy shit they put my video on that page! Do you think they would mind if I used those mp3's and edited them into the videos I took so that they would sound a lot better?

I say go for it!
I'm a step ahead of you. I'll make a thread in the Melvins discussion when they are done. They are turning out pretty damn good!

Great! I'm excited about matching up the video (which is really entertaining) with better audio. Thanks for your effort.

It's actually a audience/soundboard mix, but yes the whole thing will be up on dimeadozen soon, as well as the following night.

Good stuff. Sorry about the audience only accusation - the more I listen to it the better it sounds!
Oh, not at all :) I tried to make it subtle in the mix.

any chance you got the harvey milk set, too? i'm always thrilled to see HM on dimeadozen.
you didn't happen to get the galifianakis set from the day before, did you? my favorite comic.
i wish i could've been there for those two days...
Yeah, I did get Harvey Milk. That'll be on dime at some point too (I'm pretty backlogged at the moment). Didn't record Zach though.
Does anybody have this whole show filmed on DVD? I have a Melvins show from Nashville TN @ Exit/In 11-10-06 I would trade.
