Title: Melvins Houdini Review Slims SF!!!
Post by: Verbalmasturbation on July 21, 2007, 12:11:45 PM
How much of a treat was is to have a guest appearance from Flipper and Mike Patton. Simply amazing, a legendary show to say the least. Not to mention stephanie semour and many other surprises. Yes there were a large number of women there too. Who would have thunk it.

What do you all think? Can't wait till tonight for some HOG LEG

Houdini Review....

The crowd starts packing in as a couple roadies start playing some noise, the guitarist looked like Scott Reeder. After about 3o minutes and 45 pints of water later Will Shatter came on stage with a flinstone costume and a gaot t that would make Scott Ian gealous and randomly spit out "Sex Bomb baby".  It was amazing how many assholes had no idea who he was. It was kind of like those Cobain deciple/tool fans who found the Melvins only through their immature obsessions with them. Some were screaming get off the stage, douchebags with no attention span I say.

I really think that Sex bomb is a rip off of THE DOORS "Money" or "Firehouse "by kiss but thats another issue we won't entertain.

War cartoons actually not by Mackie, powerful none the less flash.

THe whole Houdini album was played. A historical show. The eggnog record was played faster than the recording in my opinion.

Um, are you sure it wasn't Richie instead of Will Shatter?
Easy way to tell; Richie is alive, Wills dead.  :P

Who played bass for the Melvin's @ Slims 7/21/07 The Lysol/Eggnog show?

I thought Porn was funny, Dale is a great drummer, the animation presentation after Porn was alright and unfortunately I had to leave at 11:40pm  so I only got 1 hour of the Melvins.  Oh yeah, I bought a shirt.

QuoteWas he the guy wearing blue gloves and some kind of bondage wrist cuffs connected by a chain? Standing right in front of Trevor? If so, I wondered about that guy.

I don't think so (at least on Friday night), but all I remember is him wearing a white t-shirt, gardening gloves, and the drum sticks so I could be wrong.

ya his gloves were of the gardening kind and were white with little chili peppers on them.
the bondage guy was a whole different douche but i know who you are talking about. i saw him up front and looked at my friend with a puzzled "what the fuck" look. he just shrugged. after seeing king fucko and his air drumming abilities it was hard to be surprised by anybody in the crowed that night.
p.s. this was saturday night, i didn't see either on friday.

I wasn't escorted away, the only comment i got from security mentioned not to lift the sticks past shoulder length. I wasn't ejected or anything, nor did I harm anyone. Where is all of your will to be weird? Must we all live in a perpetual high school. I have fun, maybe an attention whore, but thats me. Remember houdini had a dog leash. S and M is a joke, people take themselves too seriously, especially all the knuckleheads in America.

What is wrong with losing yourself and letting loose after working so much? Clubs are for idiots anyway. Met some good people, but too many pretentious idiots, but found a girl to have fun with.
