To just say, the Melvins are "doing" Lysol/Eggnog, or are "doing" Houdini, is a total injustice. There`s a hell of a lot more going on here than the Melvins running through the songs on those albums. This is a whole new interpretation of that music. A totally new beast. The songs are in a totaly different order. They blur from one to another. Next thing you know they`re playing a song you recognize, you totally get lost in it, you leave town, you leave the atmosphere, you enter a whole new universe. You don`t know how long you`ve been there, what day it is, or even where "here" is. Next thing you know, they are playing a song you recognize and it gives you an incredible burst of energy and the cycle starts all over again. There`s never a break. It just flows. For who knows how long.

Sometimes the returns to the familiar can be totally grounding/riviting, like when the get into a song like Sacrifice or The Ballad of Dwight Fry. Then it flows into something like Charmicaricat and it`s back on out to space.

speaking of richie...

i like it, skulls, guns and all. i'm planing on getting it framed with the tickets stubs from both nights.
sorry i couldn't get a better pic, but i had to do it quick before little miss destructo (my daughter) got to it and most likely try to shove it ALL into her mouth.
protecting both that poster and my wife while in the front row on the first night was a tad stressful...
Wish i could of made it out there to watch this Houdini in London was cool enough but Lysol and eggnog I'm jealous as fuck.
And Trevor looks freaky like he should be in a Japanese horror but makes me miss my long hair.

So far I think I like this richie poster the best. Check out the baby in the corner!! grab your poster quickly!
Thanks for sharing, cheeseburger.
Are the posters numbered?
If so, what's the total print?

The print run could be 1000, and I doubt you'd see any more than what were actually sold at the show. From past experience, Richie doesn't usually sell his posters after the fact.
They're not numbered (as with all Ritchie prints that I've seen). I believe he's also stated many times that once he's done making a print, he washes his hands of it (or with it, not sure), so don't ask him if he has any extras.
Hmmmmm.
"..COULD be 1000." :-s
QuoteHmmmmm.
"..COULD be 1000.
HIGHLY doubt it. I think they sold out on the first night (didn't see any on Sat.).
Plus, they're signed by the band.

i bought one for a friend early saturday night and the guy said there were only 15 left as my three friends proceeded to buy more. i highly doubt there were 1000, but who knows.

ya i was just testin' ya....you passed!
There were 120. They sold out on the second night pretty early. The entire run was at the show. Aside from one I kept for myself, there are no more. That is all.

Thank you, Mr. Goodtimes.
tastelikedirt, nice job, i kinda like you.
always been a fan of richie's work but I gotta say.... in my opinion this is lower end. seems like a retread of about 6 other richie posters I've seen. nothing about it jumps out at me.
sorry rich, no disrespect bubba. melvins didn't ask ME to make their poster. just giving my 2 cents.

So I guess you don't want the poster I got for you at the show?

Yah, he told me to tell you to send it to me.

I like this one because of the contrast of the colours, and the font used. The skulls are a given on just about all richie posters.

well now I didn't say that.
seeing as its a special occasion I'll go ahead and take it..... under
slight protest.
all I'll say is this poster looks ALOT like the last 4 posters richie made. ALOT.
I think most of his posters have a very similar look & feel to them (which is not a bad thing 'cause I like his work).
It'll be in the mail soon (along with a little something for Lily). Sorry, I checked but they didn't have any of the Houdini "pussy" t-shirts in newborn sizes, so Nikki had to go to Baby Gap instead.
It only kinda looks a lot like the last couple posters I made.
Actually it looks far worse.
That's the first time I've printed my own work in...5 years...and it shows. I'm not gonna make that mistake again. Screen printing is fucking a shit ton of work. and my skills have degraded over the years. Even for a poster that looks as simple as that last one, I undertook something I wasn't entirely equipped to handle. Anyone who thinks that the act of pulling a squeegee over paper is somehow glamorous or fun is a retard. It fucking sucks. I will be going back to someone with an automatic press in the future. No more printing EVER for me.

Ahh, I see. And I thought the shitty print job was done on purpose to get that "distressed" or "antiqued" look. :P

no doubt. especially 150 (or whatever) times.
props to richie for being humble.

sounds like richie got the "distressed" look.
Totimoshi was at this show. I met them in the crowd and got to meet their new drummer.
Another new drummer.
